Glad we finally got an Ainsley doll. I love her original outfit and the long sleeve top paired with the pants. My one fear is the staining it might leave behind. A part of me wanted her to have a silver rack and 2 more hangers, or the titular trunk.
I am surprised that Ainsley still holds the same Series 1 feeling while still being a strong competitor for the latest series release.. Easily she is my favorite latest release after the Storm Twins. Loved your review. The fashion references always on point!! Ah on that note, while I do agree with you that when I realized the Trunk Show Ainsley doesn't have any trunk, After asking for a fashion related friend he told me that a "Trunk Show" is when a designer offers a collection (or some of the pieces) after a runway show for a very limited time. And that it does not have anything to do with having a fashion trunk per se. BTW I am glad that she have hangers..
I just bought Ainsley this week! I got super lucky and picked one with minimal hair gel. Definitely a new fave of mine, just wish she had a rack of some sort for all her fashions.
She's gorgeous, I love her different outfit choices. They'll look nice on some of my other dolls too, but I wish she came with more storage. My Avery clothing rail is bursting with second outfits. 😭
She does not have the bambi face sculpt as I call it because the original face had deer in headlights eyes. Notice the side by side at 3:44 timestamp her chin is more angular and her eyes thinner as well as spaced further apart.
Ainsley's release was really exciting! Putting her up "against" Avery making her come with her extra fashions for Shadow High was a fun twist. The only thing missing is more accessories just like Avery came last time - a rack, acrylic trunks and more tiny options to mix and match. Can't wait to see where her storyline goes, it's promising. 🤞
We could always use more accessories to enhance our RH experience! I hope we get some cool SH furniture and accessories. And yes! I'm here for Ainsley's plot! -Sang

I love black and the fact that the outfits look a little edgy. I generally like the newer face molds better, but I think Ainsley looks pretty good like this. I imagine she will be close to $100 in Canada, so I probably won’t get her unless she goes on sale (Avery did). There is no question that Barbie and Monster High are competing for my doll dollars, so my Rainbow High purchases have dropped, despite the good offerings.
it's interesting because I can definitely agree that Avery's release is more acutely attuned to her and her personal style whereas Avery expands on and adds to the series 1 girls in some way and by proxy we haven't really seen what or how Avery styles her own self. I guess it speaks to how the naming and products are indeed different - Avery has a fashion closet to style others while Ainsley's trunk show is more about putting a focus on her own self. Not bad, just different Regarding her as a release I do wish she as an accessory focus actually came with some accessories to focus on - I guess the two bangles will have to do? - but do think all of the looks express her personality well. The mix of gold and buckles with the black pleather and the darker use of bolder color touches also makes her feel distinct from both schools she's attended. Truthfully I'm still not sure why she made a school transfer but I do think what limited moments she had before did hint at her not feeling that she is quite fitting into RH and just needed some sort of change so that tracks as well. And yet with all the continually rainbow branded everything I also don't think she's quite ready to choose one over another so I guess we'll see. As for me, personally? While I must admit that the abundance of pleather has put me off a bit - it's gorgeous but only really for now because we all know it will *melt* in a few years LOL - and do wish she or the twins came with some sort of trunk accessories (maybe MGAE just didn't want to modify their existing ones for these two releases) I can also see her value and do think she's worth it if you like her or have been waiting for her. Now we just need Aidan to make the leap himself - maybe series 5?? - and I do wonder if the As will be able to overcome this rift and still shine as friends even if they are doing so separate from each other.

Know the desire of Shadow High to defeat Rainbow High in RainbowVision, I don't think Avery will be Talking to Ainsley anytime soon. I have a theory that SH will be the winners of this year's RainbowVision but their Agressiveness and Shadiness against RH will come back to haunt them in the end. I once had a freaky dream that SH and RH rivalry became so intense and too agressive with their competitiveness, someone higher than Lou Wright (If their is a superintendent) will decide to merge the schools.
I want Ainsley but her eyes don’t seem to fit her eyes in the cartoon. She has those sort of evil, more lid exposed look to show off her eye shadow but this doll has eyes too widely open in my opinion. Also, I’m not big on exchanging outfits so the fashion trunk is not going to work for me. I kind of feel like Ainsley would have looked nicer with the beautiful Asian shaped eyes MGA does so well.
Oh yeah! We worked on this script first before Series 4 so we didn't bring it up. It's a close match with Jewel's secondary shoes. The only difference is that Jewel's has standard heels but Ainsley's has the letter heels (and difference colors) -Sang

I know a lot of popular doll collectors get new and extra special dolls free (so why talk about how much the doll is). I mean, even if you guys get a free doll from MGA at least you’re honest about retail price. Also, you guys are cute together. 🫶
