Mines stop working after 7-8 months of using it. I only came across this videos to find solutions but from looking at the reviews/comments I’m better off with a different blender
Great video… I have a Hamilton beach blender similar to this one, 700 watts… I got it in 2012 and still use it every once in awhile… I make slushes and milkshakes with it .. the grind/crush ice is the most powerful selection
turned it off and let it cool down and added more milk in hopes it would help it blend more easily. Still took over an hour for it to actually blend and by then you couldn't even refer to it as a milkshake as it had almost completely melted . it got progressively worse, starting to smoke, then leak a little bit, take over an hour to blend things that should take seconds , and it finally stopped blending all together on me today, which was my 3rd day and attempt at getting a pie pumpkin pureed. I took the cup off the base and surprise the motor was jammed full of thick half blended pumpkin puree. I HATE THIS BLENDER!
Uhh yeah, no. This blender is a piece of crap and you either know it or you're deluding yourself. I have (had) this exact model and thought something was wrong because the motor burned up in a cloud of smoke and quit working at all, but after reading other reviews, I'm convinced this thing is just cheap Walmart junk! Few days ago I ordered a Vitamix 5200 and sure enough it can make peanut butter no problem. Which is what killed this shitty red blender. Today I took the dead carcass of this Hamilton Beach out back and smashed it on the ground then tossed it in the scrap heap, destined for the dump, where it belongs. Sorry but this blender is a POS and is far from heavy duty or whatever you claim it to be. Yeah the jar is heavy glass but that matters not when the motor doesn't work!
It’s ironic that the jar is heavier than the motor housing. It’s a cheap blender for light use. You can even see the drive gear is plastic. Any serious blender will have metal sprockets and will feel heavy due to the size of the motor. I have a blender collection that I’m building and that is the cheapest lightest blender I have. I don’t even thing it’s worth a place in my collection
