- In a momentous visit to Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province, Pastor Ted Wilson, President of General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, left an unforgettable mark on the local community.
On the 30th of April, Pastor Wilson graced the Eastern Highlands Simbu Mission Adventist Church members and the general public gathered at The National Park with his profound words of wisdom. In his address, he urged them to reflect the light of Jesus Christ, inspiring them to embrace their roles as beacons of hope in their communities.
However, Pastor Wilson's itinerary didn't end there. Before departing for Hagen, he seized the opportunity to visit Kabiufa Adventist Secondary School. There, he engaged with students and staff, imparting words of encouragement and imparting a sense of divine purpose.
Pastor Wilson dedicated a prayer room within the school premises, designating it as a sacred place for students and staff to seek solace and commune with the LORD.
Pastor Wilson's visit not only left a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of those he encountered but also showed the Seventh-day Adventist Church's unwavering commitment to nurturing both spiritual and educational development in communities across Papua New Guinea.

That day I arrived just in time to catch a glimpse of Elder Wilson"s speech along with my aging mother and my two year old son cos it was a historic moment for us and our faith. My young son was on my shoulders and as Elder Wilson was addressing the faithfuls who had gathered that day, I beheld and saw a white bird flying from the eastern end of the park. At first I thought it was a domesticated bird, for it flew just above the heads of the crowd from behind. But a second thought struck me that never have I seen a white bird in the recent past around the vicinity of Goroka market nor the National Day Park. And to have a white bird or any bird for that matter to fly inches above the heads of crowds of people is indeed a rare occurrence. And as this white bird or should I say 'the whitest bird' swept up and rested on the roof top just in front of the president, it immediately dawned on me that this was no ordinary bird. The experience of Jesus coming out from River Jordan after being baptized by John the Baptist and the Holy Spirit descending from heaven in the form of a white dove suddenly flooded my memory. As I stood there mesmerized, a peace, wonderful peace, flooded my soul that some day, some wonderful day l'm going home. Amen.
I did not see the white bird flying above the heads of the crowd, this is a great lie.. Useless comment,,
