I was in college when this perfume first came out on the market and as a French major I was in love with ALL things French, including Paloma Picasso perfume, I adored Paloma, admiring her glamorous life and high class pedigree. Paloma Picasso is as high class and as glamorous as her name sake perfume ❤❤❤.
I’m in my 40’s and this was my mom’s favorite perfume when I was a teen. The smell has stayed with me so much that I went to look for it recently. It’s phenomenal. I’m not one for trends, and gravitating towards scents that some people may consider grandmother is appealing to me.
Paolo I had no idea you have a channel! I’m so glad I found it and specially a video about such a bewitching and gorgeous perfume! I love it. On me Paloma Picasso opens with lots of rose and jasmine, the heart keeps the rose plus honey and dried herbs but the base notes are pure civet and moss. What’s not to be loved here? I’m following you from this moment! Have a wonderful new year!
@@alicia-rs4ef I have not smelled any vintage bottles. I'm sure it would be more animalic. From what I have read and researched, the edt has more floral nuances and less animalic. Mine is current formulation which is still great.
@paologomez1698 but I notice his bottle has black plastic all around it and there are some edps with half dome black plastic at the cap. I think this is a newer version. It's definitely confusing.
I'm confused by the bottling and the edp edt difference. Is the one with only the top half black plastic the edt or a reformulated version of the edp? Also can you recommend edp versus edt? I tested it at the drugstore but I'm not entirely sure which version. I do love chypres.
@@paologomez1698 thank you, it is very kind of you. I think I am going to get the Picasso perfume, it is not so pricey. And I still have a sample of the Opera, so that I can compare both. I have a feeling they have totally the same vibe.
@@paologomez1698 OK. By the way do you have an idea of EdP and EDT of Picasso Mon Parfum are the same? (Like EDP is stronger, but the smell is the same?). I had EDT long ago, but now I am inclined to get EDP.
Yes it is still made. Easily availavle in online discount shops. You'll be surprised. Could be available in some of your local perfume shops. Not Sephora.
@@paologomez1698 Thank you so much. I actually live in India and I'm looking for a genuine website that sells this perfume. Also thanks for letting me know that it still is in production, I'm so glad 😊😊
It’s an 80s powerhouse when perfume was made to blow away everyone in the room. It’s dark, strong and utterly 80s.
@@Mr.bearuk112 That's why I love classics. ,,😊
its awesome

I agree, her perfume is indeed high class and glamorous. I find most chypre classics are classy and sophisticated.

Fabulous story. Follow your nose. I also don't follow trends.

Mr Smelly did a video mentioning Moschino Femme was here hoping for a review from you.

Oh you did say you like edp better. Any further clarification on bottles/versions would be appreciated

I love a chypre fragrance. I also love that this came out on my birth year💚🤎
I love chypre perfumes too. I find them very elegant and sophisticated.
I also smell a touch of a Tuberose.
Oh definitely!
Great leathery Chypre, Love Paloma Picasso
Indeed. There's just nothing like this in modern perfumery.
I have a feeling this is a dupe of Xerjoff Opera. What do you think?
I will try to revisit that one for you....

@@annageber4954 as fas as I know, the edt is more floral. Edp is more mossy, dark, damp and chypre-ish
