Love this! He is a gorgeous man and that voice! I am only re-discovering a-ha again recently, but I have really enjoyed watching and listening to them here. I was a big fan of them when they first started in the 80's. I had their first 2 albums and knew every word, but then I guess they needed/wanted to concentrate more on Europe and the rest of the world and not so much US/North America for reasons they have explained in various interviews. It was like they disappeared off the face of the earth as far as I could tell, of course there wasn't the internet back then. They would still play their music on the radio but pretty much only Take on me and The Sun Always Shines on TV.. I heard The Sun Always Shines on the radio the other day and that inspired me to go looking. This is a great performance of this song and they look great. But I am really liking some of their more recent stuff, too. And I must say, they have really aged well! Morten has gotten even better with age.
Yes, we lost them in America. Watching these videos after so many years lets me know how much we missed out on. He is absolutely the best looking man I've ever seen not to mention his fantastic voice. I was a fan from day one and he is still amazing today at 58. Luckily we have all these videos we can listen to because they clearly are the best band ever.

The songs that i love most are Spanish steps and We'll never speak again, but any music in his voice is beautiful. And your favorite? Every day, when i wake up, i watch a video that he sings hunting high and low on a train and i want to be there with him. There is not person in the world more beautiful and special than him. Hi James I understand they are celebrating their first album, but would have liked to hear some of their other great hits too eg Cry Wolf, The Blood That Moves The Body. There are so many others but they played a lot of songs that were not as popular at the time. I hope they return to SA soon for a world tour of their Greatest Hits Album Headlines and Deadlines
@cristinawilligs Sometimes I wonder how music can so deeply affect somebody's life. But the fact is there so many people around the world who really treat A-ha... almost like to family members. I do not mean all (a little bit crazy) women who scream: Morten we love you (sorry if it's sounded rude), but normal people who really appreciated their music. And remembering that Paul was saying that he still has songs for A-ha I prefer to believe that someday we'll hear something new from A-ha!

Do you know the video of 1986 at Montreux Festival? I think this is one of the best performances of "Hunting.." Morten is so sexy there and his smile is so sweet.

This was a few years ago but you really should look into some of Morten's solo music. It is really great! Most of it is Really different from a-ha stuff but there are some that have an a-ha vibe to them. He really has gotten to be a very talented songwriter over the years. There are videos of live shows he has done over the years and they are really good, he is almost a different person performing solo, much more animated, chatty. And Wow! It is awesome to watch him play that guitar.
I respect their decision to stop with A-ha and to be concentrated on other projects... but if so many people around the world love them and their music, may be one day they'll come back with A-ha? And it will be with the same not polished, rockier, impulsive performance with hoarseness in Morten’s voice, with incredible Paul’s and Magne’s instrumentals?
