I'm really glad they did this interview with him! I believe that he has some mental health issues, but unfortunately a lot of people have bought into his foolishness! I think they had to bring him on, and had to treat this like a serious investigation, and dismantle all of his arguments! it feels like the goal here was not to convince him, but to demonstrate to everyone who subscribes to this ideas how illogical it is. People are damn near ready to start civil war over this, so they really had to dismantle it!

This is the Dunning-Kruger Effect. This is not a disease, syndrome or psychological illness. A type of cognitive bias. It’s a gross overestimation of his knowledge and abilities. Basically he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else. It’s not funny, because he has the ear of hundreds of thousands of people who will believe him. This can become dangerous.

I don’t think he’s a fraud at all. I think he’s genuinely unwell. I’ve seen someone in my own life behave exactly like Lindell when their mental health issues went untreated. Lindell looks like he’s really struggling to hold onto to some semblance of reality. What’s sad is that our politics are so messed up that sick people like Lindell are actually elevated and taken seriously by a large segment of the population.

I think somebody told Lindell that they were a cyber expert and then charged him a bunch of money to tell him what he wanted to hear and he’s being scammed...I legitimately think he believes what he’s saying but I don’t think he has any idea what he’s talking about or how any of this works.
