you should go see a shrink
Horner waiting till all the seats are filled then not give Lawson a seat and tell him hes free to go to another team 😂
When there are no seats left available. Red Bull really are a bit of a management mess at the moment. Their dithering over what to do with Checho has been the catalyst for this mess, in my opinion, and has sullied their judgement over the last few years.
Do you think Lawson is that stupid? He wouldn't have given up on the Audi/Alpine seat in July/August without assurances that he'll get a seat in 2025, even some races in 2024
@@indcredible7839he's not free to do so
Sounds as if it was Alpine
Some how, I don't think his manager would allow that to happen.
Finally, a YT pundit who has highlighted Hadjar's questionable temperament as a reason for him not yet being ready for F1. Thanks Law for raising this overlooked point.
He's definitely skilled and he's completely spanked Marti...but after dealing with Tsunoda (who has now come good), is he worth it yet? Hard to say. Maybe one more year in f2 might sort it out.
@@LawVS Assuming he doesn't become champion, but if he does what then? And also Iwasa isn't being mentioned much, I know he's over doing Super Formula in Japan, but it's a bit of out of sight out of mind.
I agree Hadjar has the results on the board to merit consideration though. Yuki has improved nicely from his first two years in speed, consistency and temperament yet he's still being overlooked for the main team and he's now looking at his 5th year at VCarb/AT/TR/Minardi. They can't keep him there forever. All in all Red Bull's driver management has been a bit of a mess over the last few years.
F1 doesnt need another Ocon/Tsunouda. He is only damaging his chances.
@@DPG-Guitar I’m all about second chances but having the best car and not beating Colapinto and Doohan in tractors is a really bad first impression. People like to whinge and bellyache about the Drugoviches and Pourchaires of the world not being auto-entitled to a seat in the top flight of motorsport for winning a spec series at the third attempt but teams are gonna look at more than just pace before they end contracts with some one who’s been around forever on probably one of the most experienced grids of all time. Drugovich being a Nepobaby, maybe that’s what drew him to that team, but he surely has to know that they’re not going to give him Fernando’s seat, let alone Lord of the Nepobabies Stroll’s?
I think Hadjar will be a stopgap at Visa ToroRosso-Minardi at best :p Faenza is hallowed ground, let’s be honest. Fernando Alonso made his first steps as an F1 legend there. Seb. Max. Webber. Danny. Carlos. Just having worked in the same garages as those dudes should bring a tear to either eye. F1 reserve driver must be a pretty good gig, all things considered.
@@LawVSThree years in F2 is a bad look. They might be looking forward to Arvid Linblad coming through the ranks.

Hard compound
Slippery surface flag
I'm in the Lawson camp here. Not a particularly big fan of Hadjar either. His reaction to losing the Monaco F2 race was ridiculous. That other team rolled the dice on staying out and waiting for the yellow flag. And they made it work. Its how things go sometimes.
Also Hadjar has had some really bad stinkers the past few races
Yeah I think Hadjars way over hyped.
I'm not a fan at all.
Watching Gabriel this year however, man that kid deserves a drive, well a shot anyway.
Super impressed with him.

Being from South Wales, I'm more naturally a French speaker (nasal sounds, not gutteral). I'd have to be a northerner to sound more like a Dutchwoman! If I tried to imitate Max I'd probably sound more like Charles!

@@aarrodrihe does it nearly every video, how have u missed it?
It's pretty good, much better than his Toto one which leave a bit to be desired.
Liam Lawson really is a tragic figure. He went everywhere Red Bull wanted him to go, showed up, was quick immediately - and yet never came out first in a championship that raises doubts if he actually is a champion, so he stays on the sideline. If there is a Red Bull driver who deserves a shot then it is him. If he fails in F1, then throw him out. But at least try him, he could actually be good
Had horrid luck in 2022 F2, lowering his stock - then was arguably cheated out of a DTM championship in his debut season, and lost the Super Formula championship in his final race. Hard to think of many F1 contenders in recent times with such awful luck permeating their entire career

at this rate red bull's gonna have 0 drivers for themselves and 4 drivers for VCARB
I feel like Horner and Redbull are really hurting their image as of late.
Yes, if I was the sponsor I'd be reviewing the leadership contracts.
Without Newey the entire red bull scenario changes because they are likely to become just another midfield team.
Not just Newey, but actual technical expertise from a proper manufacturer for their PU, Ford is only there for the badge, RedBull is on their own to develop the new engine. Honestly, I would be really surprise if RBR didn't become a backmarker by the 2026 reg change.
@@apophisstr6719 Also given that the reason Newey left was because Pierre Wache was effectively given full control of the car and when Newey pointed out things that he didn't like, Wache ignored him. That's, at least partially, what pushed Newey out the door at Red Bull, and at McLaren before that. And it hasn't ever worked out well for a team after Newey left.
Yuki and Liam (and some of the other Red Bull juniors) came in at exactly the wrong time. The Death of Dietrich Mateschitz lost Helmut most of his power, and after the controversy Horner has been looking for yes-men and loyalists above all else. To Horner all these Red Bull Juniors are assosicated with Helmut, which is to a large extent true.
The only reason Helmut is even around the track still is because the Verstappens like him so much, and Horner wants to avoid that at all costs with future drivers. Theyre pawns in a game of internal politics in Red Bull instead of racing drivers at this point, and no matter what they actually do, Horner will see them as aligned with Helmut Marko, too hot headed and too difficult for Horner to control (Yuki, Liam and Isack have all shown this to some extent, none of them seem like they'd always do as Horner asked of them without question)
Yep. Horner needs to go
We need a Kiwi in F1. McLaren wouldn't even exist without New Zealand. Liam has been screwed by Red bull basically leaving it so late in the season that there's no other options to find a drive
Helmut is 81. When will that guy fkn retire??
I suspect 2025 Marco retires.. he is against the Ford merger.
Part of me is wondering if they're trialing Liam again now because they have a chance to steal Colapinto for next year if Liam doesn't perform up to par.
Colapinto has basically hit he ground running bar minor mistakes. Also if Red Bull kick Perez, maybe having Colapinto in the sister team will allow
the South American fans to forgive Red Bull a little.
I’ve been thinking the same, considering it’s likely neither Ricciardo or Perez will be with RB racing next year.
Hopefully we will get to see them both in F1 for the remaining races and get somewhat of a comparison. I think people are already starting to forget what a good job Lawson did last year such with these new drivers coming through and all the races in between.
If Colapinto is going to race anywhere next year I would expect it to be Sauber.
I would really like this, but unfortunately Colapinto is not in the RB family. James knows that Sainz is not there for a long time and not even for a good time. He will be out as soon as a top 4 team shows any interest in him. I would assume James wishes to keep Colapinto on Williams contract to put him in after Sainz or even Albon.
@@diarx1 (Mexico isn’t South America, Dr.Marko - it is Latin America, on the other hand. 🤭)
@@LeJimster I think Lawson is quality through and through. Should’ve had a seat this year. Crying shame. Probably AlphaRosso’s best driver last year on balance. Soz Yuki.
There is no way Lawson hasn't got that seat.. And while Horner may have doubts about Lawsons abilities or maybe a bit of a power struggle with Marko... When Lawson starts delivering I guarantee Horner will be eager to bring him to the main team.
Whatever the case, I think Horner was just saying they needed to start assessing these young talents again and yes he keeps mentioning Lindblad as if he's something special but I don't expect to see that guy in F1 for atleast a couple of seasons.
RB doesn't promote anyone from the other team. It's kind of like a warehouse for extras they might possibly need but don't really plan on using.
They promoted Vettel, Ricciardo, Verstappen, Kvyat, Gasly, Albon. But yeah, not anyone.
Stupid comment Paul.
Just when you said "in the waters", my eyes were scanning the third run board around "waters" :D
Liam Lawson looks like Dash from the Incredibles... Let's hope he's as fast.
Well, he is like hulkenberg-fast. That's pretty fast.
Think Horner makes himself to be bigger and more powerful than he actually is. Whatever really happened with those allegations seems to have given Horner a feeling he is untouchable which he isnt.
He was definitely touched.
It seems like Horner is leading redbull into the position that 18 months from now, none of their current driver lineup being with the team is entirely possible.
If Lawson was so good why did he get beaten by Logan Sargent and finish near 100 points behind Piastri in F2
Watch the full f2 season Lawson beat sargent and oscar was in a Prema Liam is in s Carlin
Sargeant finished ahead of Lawson in his F3 campaign but he was Piastri's team mate driving for the best team that year (Prema). When Sargeant was team mates with Lawson at Carlin in F2, it was Lawson who finished ahead.
Lawson also easily beat Albon in DTM 2022 and he beat Tsunoda when they raced together as team mates in TRS 2020.
If you look throughout Lawson's career he's mostly in the fight for the drivers title, his F3 and F2 campaigns are the exception.
@@LeJimsterYuki also beat Lawson in a much worse team, Jenzer, in F3
Wtf? Bearman is 15th in f2. Antonelli is 6th, Colapinto is 7th. Mick Schumacher f2, f3 champion, where’s he now? Lawson proved his ability last year. Deserves a seat.
Visa Cash App media manager had a meltdown over what happened in Singapore with Ricciardo... The team itself has not performed well from pre season top 5 talk to struggling to get points... Yukio does not fit youth formula and Honda is on way to Aston...
They did nothing to shut down the Riccardo Singapore narrative which says they started it or they went along for the free ride. That's almost cowardice
They would've tried to wind down the rumor if that was the case but they just went silent. Maybe they're using Singapore's race as a bridge to bring DR to Nascar, he was bringing the most headlines because of the last race rumor.
@@justaregularguy1234 Nascar would take years to master more likely GT or Supercars maybe few Nascar Wildcards if he is quick but ovals takes time to master...
Rumors are Visa CashApp managers not happy to learn Dani Ric is out of RB and are pushing Red Bull to reconsider
Red Bull or RB were fortunate I think to have Ricciardo for a while to temper Tsunoda a little, Yuki has even said that himself. I wonder at this point who will take over that role of just being that voice in the ear of the newbie's if they are racing essentially a stable of juniors at varying degrees waiting for the next 'Max' to appear. Max has definitely matured himself and produced the goods. I wonder if he would want to become that elder statesman of the team and to be that example of stability for the rookies. It could be problematic if the business with the FIA and Max turns into a full on spat and Max decides.....'I have my world titles, I've achieved that....screw you guys I am taking my bat and ball and going to another series, like WEC'.
Verstappen mature... An example of stability to the rookies... 😂😂 Are you f**king kidding me right now? Are you practicing for a stand up gig or are you really that incredibly stupid?
i think everything will lead up to arvid lindblad getting thrown straight into the redbull seat as horners response to kimi antonelli

@@usedtoexistonce Stranger things …
??? Time Lawson found another team...
An observation - Franco Colapinto would seem to be just the latest example that how you do in junior formulae doesn't always indicate success in F1. So far Lawson has done a darn good job in F1, while seemingly bright stars in the junior formulae may sputter and fade in F1... a recent Williams driver comes to mind! Surely unless you know something to the contrary, better the driver you know can do well than the driver who may not.
Colpainto has exceeded everyone's expectations.. so far. I mean, he still could screw it, but till now there are no signs of that. On the contrary, he seems to be growing and improving.

I think VCARB should go back to doing what Toro Rosso did back in the day, driver in, driver out or if they’re good then they get promoted or shafted depending on the state of the senior team
I would love to see Daniel replace Checo after Mexico and give him a shot.
If he does well he stays. If not he goes and Checo goes and the full it with Lawson or other. One last shot for Daniel on a good car I’d love to see
I'm still kind of expecting that to happen. Checo gets the boot after mexico, DR finished the season in that car. If he still has what it takes, he races in the top team in 2025, but if he flounders, he gets the boot as well and one of the juniors gets fast-tracked.
This video lands with my priors. Christian (and Dr. Marko) want to give the seat to Liam sooner rather than later so that by 2025 year end they know whether the kid is the next Sebastian Vettel or not. If not, they can consider kicking him off for someone else. They'll say "oh, we allowed you almost a season and a half. That's plenty of time to get used to"
If Christian and Dr. Marko want Daniel in the RBR, great, they don't need to see him racing the next 6 months to make that decision. Daniel has proved himself to be decent enough and comparable to Checo. There's no point in see him racing.
Clearly, lawson can at best be the next Gasly. If he was more than that they would have given him a shot long ago
Remember the rumors that Liam was 2 tenths slower in the Red Bull than the time they set for him. Until Max goes & the car is built with different characteristics Liam isn't heading to Red Bull
Excellent Max impression 😂
RBPT is like the original Red Bull flavor, and VCARB is Sugar free Red Bull
I like the Cactus one.
If Horner still has a job in 2025 I'll down a pint of Red Bull.
Horney stays as he represents the 51% of Malaysian shareholders and voted for the Ford merger. Marco will resign at end of 2025 as he is against Ford…. Max is also against Ford… he may leave for Aston.
@@jom4752 Very likely also. But I'm thinking more along what happens when you add up "The Scandal", probably losing the constructors, maybe losing the drivers, newey, wheatley, several other senior departures and the PR fallout from all of the above.
RB having gone out and getting Checho shows they might have changed their promotion policies. I dont see them getting a rookie beside max in 25 given they might be in a constructors fight from the get go, and none of their drivers seem particularly extraordinary. Its either Checo or Lawson in 25. And if Max was to leave in 26, they'll get Lando/Oscar or Russell. They really should have gotten Hulk earlier this year imo.
Considering where McLaren are at and considering how long Lando has been at that team waiting for it to get good, there is not a hope in hell that they'll get Lando in 26
@@marco_1909 Lindblad is pretty extraordinary.
Not sure what the hell happened after Silverstone but he was well on track to win that title this year. Only 17 though, but if Toto could bribe them to let him put Antonelli in at 17 I imagine Horner could too if he wanted. But coming fourth in F3 at 16, in your second year of car racing and being promoted straight from F4, equalling the all-time career wins record of four in your first season, absolutely creaming your 3-4 years older teammate who was the favourite to win the championship after being the highest placed rookie not promoted from the previous season after leading for many rounds, who was also the 2022 FRECA champion, well ahead of Bortoleto who is now knocking on the door to F1… you don’t do all that in your second season out of karting unless you’re something bloody special. Okay, it’s not Piastri, but he wasn’t 16 when he won F3. Winning it would’ve been nuts, but he was in contention.
@@James-gx9gn Unless they go with supporting the better driver in 25 and he has to leave with his tail between his legs. 🥺😬🫠
Carlos would’ve been the best get for Red Bull, I’m sure.
@@James-gx9gn yeah it’s unlikely Lando leaves. Am just banking on a fallout with either Lando or Oscar in 2025. Especially if the car is championship worth from race 1.
@@TheFinalMeowntdown Lindblad is doing very well especially considering his age. Maybe in a couple of years he'll be ready but as of now i dont see him getting a seat anytime before 2026. Possibly the Tsunoda seat. Also, recently i personally havent been taking this spec series results seriously since its a lottery with the engines etc. They have been some dodgy winners/high finishers due to unfair equipments.
I don’t know does Liam seem a little entitled? I mean I was some what impressed with his character ace last year but it wasn’t that great.
I get they want to keep things currently as is ,because of the money they get, but I feel like this whole drivers needing a seat situation could easily be solved by adding more teams. I can see things getting bottled up at some point by drivers with deep pockets and those with sponsorship money that those trying to make it will be left on the sidelines. Those waiting will also have to compete with those younger than them, so it just becomes a giant mess in the waiting room for those guys. Let’s also say all the teams are content with who they have for the next 5 years and no switches happen. Pretty much sucks for those waiting. For being a pinnacle of motor sports it sure is a mess and it’s getting more awkward each day with how they’re handling or going about things.
That does not really solve the issue. There will be always more good drivers than available seats. You can add 20 more teams, and you will still have drivers wanting to get in and never getting the chance.
You know what can indeed solve the issue? No keeping drivers for so long, no paid drivers, no Lance Stroll.
Why do i get more and more Diddy vibes from Horner?
Hopefully Lawson can go to another team. Get him out of RB

Redbull move so bad now because of Max, Not picking up Sainz, wanting a declining Danny Ric back because he get along with Max and getting hindering Lawson
Plot twist : Redbull is about to turn into the old position that McLaren uses to be in will be out battling in the lower midfield especially if Max decides he's had enough of the BS politics behind the scenes and pulls the pin jumping ship or getting out of F1 all together.
Horner is trying to get more money out of Carlos Slim, he knows Red Bull are losing constructors points, and will next year as well. He needs Riccardo's help to do it, assuming Danny doesn't end up in Checo's car. Sooner or later Red Bull will need 3 new drivers, replacing Max, Checo, Danny & Yuki. (To Aston Martin)
That was a.... really good Toto impression
Red Bull have had success with two young drivers in Vettel and Verstappen and they can likely see the writing on the wall regarding MV leaving in the next year or so. Therefore they are trying to capture lightening in a bottle for a third time by picking a driver who will learn the ropes in the potential fallow period of the new rules in 2026 and maybe 2027 and be ready to take the reins when they get a competitive car again. Clearly Sergio Perez is not the driver they want to potentially take over as lead driver so need someone who can both replace Perez as a safe pair of hands but also step up and be lead driver in a year or two if required.
There was significant talk that at the test they did earlier in the year with DR3 that he was not as fast as they liked, there seems to be a thought that Lawson is a safe pair of hands to be the second RB driver but may not be strong enough to take over as team leader should MV depart.
They have a unique opportunity with 6 races left in 2024 to put someone in the second VCARB seat with a view of giving them a trial run for potential elevation to the main RB team in 2025, they need a driver who can be a safe pair of hands to bring the second Red Bull home in the points and who has enough potential to improve and take over as team leader at a later date. This is why Yuki has not been elevated as he is not seen as a future RB number 1 but could well be elevated to RB as a quasi number 2 to support the next superstar if MV leaves.

Tbf even when he was there, he didn’t prove he was better than yuki
The head2head I believe was quite in favour of yuki, with a significant gap between yuki and Liam.
@@VirkStar321 In 5 races, Lawson beat Yuki 4 times, even though Yuki had already run all the tracks before and had multiple seasons in the car. Lawson in a few years time will be that much better again than Yuki is now, given the experience. Lawson also thrashed Albon in DTM series in the same team car, wasn't even close.
@@Matt04108yes. Agree. Liam is awesome and adapt to any kind of cars really fast.
@@Matt04108??? Yuki didn’t even finish 2 races dude.. he had an engine failure on the formation lap in Monza and Perez took him out in Singapore.
Yuki was 4-1 in qualifying and 1-2 in the races, but Lawson got lucky in Zandvoort where AlphaTauri strategy did its thing to Yuki. Lawson was like 2 tenths slower than Yuki on average.
@@Matt04108 This is the exact problem with H2H metrics. Saying Lawson beat Yuki in Zandvoort, Monza and Singapore is hilarious
Colapinto is the man. It's now or he will succeed on another team.
Marko needs to check in the old folks home. Can't stand that mummy anymore
Oh boyyyy, i'm fasssssttttttt

Yuki will beat Lawson.
I agree. so no point in watchin your vid to the end ;-)
your set sucks, however your posture is great because you are standing up
Really? Why don't you let him drive the Racing Bulls car around for 2025 before making this unnecessary video.... !
Did you even watch the video? Law is simply discussing the news and quotes that have been released and inferring an opinion based upon it.
@@stagger87 This video is click bait. Lawson hasn't driven in anger for Racing Bulls yet, much less Red Bull. Go lay down. You'll feel better.
@@joehynes2964 Did you watch the 5 races he took part in last year... If he wasn't driving in anger what's the point of him being in the car.
@@stagger87 Last year was Alpha Tauri. He has not driven a race in the VCARB, much less the Red Bull. It is RIDICULOUS to speculate about his future in the main team when he hasn't even been announced as a replacement for DR at the junior team. What are you smoking?
Mate, driver’s license for the roads comes at 16. So someone who’s 18, 19 has had their driver’s license for 2-3 years and their driver’s permit for a year before that. So…what is your point? I’m confused lol. What are you talking about exactly?
It's 17 in the UK and usually it takes months to get a licence.
It's 18 in NL and like the UK can take a few months
Colopinto is making Liam look adverage..
Lawson thrashed Albon in DTM in the same team car. Scored about double his points for the season.
Having watched Bear and Cola, I think Law is worse driver, but time will tell.
I reckon that if Liam had started 2023 from the get-go full time, he might be firmly established as a candidate to replace Perez. The dithering cost him valuable time.
Let’s gooo
P2 XDD
not first
Mc Laren will fumble the bag with Oscar and he will go to RBR alongside with Liam. Thats it. Max will be gone since Ben Sulayem screws it all up.

1:56 Mercedes are actively talking about a future without George (verstappen and kimi) so why wouldn’t he be looking?
Toto countered saying George is part of their future and that Christian is just stirring the pot.
@@LawVS 3 into 2 doesn’t go.
Get rid of Ricardo and Perez. They’ve had their time in the sport and it’s time to move on. Put tsunoda in the red bull and he either proves you wrong or proves you right. Either way you win. Give Lawson and hadjar a seat and call it a day. I genuinely don’t see a reason to keep squeezing the life out of these drivers that have been in the sport for decades when they are scoring outside the points just as much as a rookie would
Not first
They keep dicking this guy about. Other teams were interested and they said they wanna keep him.
i don’t understand why Red Bull can’t put Max with Yuki for 2025 and Lawson with Hadjar
That’d make too much sense
I think the main theory why Checo is still there is bc the Verstappen camp is happy with him as a clear number 2. At least thats what i always understood, that keeping Max happy is obviously a huge goal of RB, even if that means sacrificing a place or two in the constructors. Especially with everything going on this year specifically, i imagine Max has way more sway in those discussion now than before bc of the fear he might just go somewhere else. In which case, losing the constructors to long term keep Max makes a TON of sense.
Also any younger driver spells more mistakes, another learning curve which in itself is costly. That car is a handful. Obviously it can't continue like this forever with Perez but for now you can kinda reason why it has up to this point with the headaches of 2024 from a PR standpoint. Just head down keep Max content, win the drivers championship. Thats their main focus right now. They dont want to set off some kind of domino effect that upsets that prioritization of Max right now. It would, in retrospect, be seen as incredibly foolish.
Yuki is too firey which is why RBR aren't interested. He will follow- meaning be dragged to- wherever Honda go
Money.
Because Yuki is Honda bound and Redbull and Honda aren't together anymore so there is no obligation to put Yuki in the RB seat. It is not that hard to understand.
