Yes, I watched this movie in 2012 for the first time, and as I got older I became more interested in VFX and CGI, I came back to this movie and decided to watch it for fun because I remembered how much I used to love this movie, and I realized in hind sight this was absolutely amazing for its release
todd zy no, people wearing tracking suits are the ones fighting in, the robot is added onto them in CGI, there is actual models for repair scenes and whenever atom wakes up, but besides that no, it’s all CGI

Just rewatched this movie and holy crap i forgot how amazing it is. All the drama is done perfectly, characters amazingly developed and action is kept upbeat but with some impressive moments! Definitely top 10 in my favorite movies.

Here's a fun fact my parents took notice of me loving movies at such a young age that for my 10th or 11th birthday they played this movie in my backyard with friends and family with a good old projector and a popcorn machine. I just have to say that is one of the most meaningful thing I've been through in my life

I loved this film, it was so awesome. I loved how it was about a dad and a son who go and show the world that anyone can win. That with the right strategy, anyone, and anything can win against even the strongest of opponents.

He was a producer in a boxing movie called 'South Paw' and made it's own song too. And another boxing song called 'Cinderella Man.' And I love Real Steel. Best soundtracks, cool actions, awesome characters and, great story.
I took my dad to see this movie for father's day 2011. It's the only time I can recall ever having gone to the movies with him. Three years later he died. So, this movie reminds me of him.
Glad that Real Steel still holds up when I grew up. So many nostalgic movies fall off when you grow up but I still enjoy Real Steel.
