How come the Cork- Killarney train didn't arrive and leave from platform 3? I've not been in Mallow train station in a very long time but recall in the late 1990s the Tralee trains always arrived into and left from platform 3. Arriving into platform 2, switching the loco, then backing out of Mallow to come back in to platform 1 (normally reserved for Cork trains) seems very awkward.
