You do not use furniture pads unless you are doing a local move and unpacking the TV at destination. Use bubble wrap or brown paper wrap if the TV is going over the road. Most Drivers or moving companiies will not donate all those pads to the shipper.
They cut it out because they clearly dropped the TV down into the box. Ouch. They would do better to slip the box over an upside down tv, secure it, then flip it.

id lay the box down and slide tv inside the box it cant fall anywhere then and you can do it alone.
