@Mike shaq 65% of the time the truck was actually not at fault. Most drivers dont know the road ethic concerning passing by a truck. I think most them cant even read the huge red sign saying driver blind spot. Or somehow blind, failing to see a truck the sized of 2-3 elephant. Or thinking that they can stop a truck. Or forgetting how long a truck is. Sadly, the bigger vehicle will always be blamed. I once had my a biker crashing into my unmoving car, and people blame me.
@Mike shaq Some of those accidents probably happen because of the driver losing his focus after many hours of driving...which is a human error but not really a lack of skill. And most of those accidents probably happen because other drivers don't know that a truck can't just come to a stop after a few meters. I really don't want to know how many drivers cut off a truck without even knowing they did something very stupid.

Not as often as you think. Many truckers have a story like this or more heroic. So this really would be the most believable story... Now how about that trucker that found a bunch of people being sold as a sex slave in the USA and single handedly helped procure their safety. Not as likely as a cop asking to help pull someone over but happened just the same. Fact is more crazy then myth most the time
The cops needed to get those dangerous criminals off the road before they could do anything else. They may have thanked the trucker later. We don't know. I was VERY impressed as to how quickly the cops pounced on the men in the vehicle, getting the driver on the ground in seconds to prevent them from escaping. Good job all around.
Truckers help the police more than people know. When I drove long haul, I had the pleasure of seeing a "rolling road block" as 3 truckers coordinated to box in a drunk driver. They just took up positions, one in front of the car and one on each side and boxed him in. Then they gradually slowed down until they had him stopped. The state trooper took it from there. There have also been instances where truckers have stopped kidnappings and disrupted human trafficking. Truckers also serve as the eyes and ears when an Amber Alert goes out.
That’s why I said they are the backbone and the salt of America some of the best people in the world are behind those wheels and like you said they stop some of the Bad things that are going on on the road
I don’t know if stuff like this happens in other countries, I’m sure it does from time to time, but I think this video is one of the most American things I’ve ever seen in my life.
