- Holy fuck a minute and a half is a fucking really long time.
It’s 5:30 am but fuck yeah I finally got this done!!! My first AE only FX type video!! This was honestly one of the biggest projects of this year (HA) and it spanned around a week? Days and days of continuous all nighters and tutorial videos, but I am quite proud of the overall result…. except around the end. Like the last 5 second I just wanted to get this video over since it was already like 5 am and I needed to wake up like at 7:30 and I was too tired of watching just videos to get inspiration to complete the rest haha.
AE is amazing and I honestly don’t know why I was so afraid of it before haha. The null and camera tool are honestly my best friend and just fuck yes. There’s still a lot of things I need to learn and try but I’m off to a great start!!
Plus you’ll see me more active hopefully! I have like 3 new projects I wanna do, so stay tuned~~

I'm using final cut pro and I have ae but I just don't know how to start with it, idk how to make anything in it
don't worry!! I was in the same position as you for like the longest time. I had AE for like 2 years but I never opened it cause it looked so different compared to Final Cut Pro. What really helped me is starting to edit raw type videos. Like make a base video that's just clips on Final Cut Pro and export it onto AE and use that program to fix up your transitions. Also watch a ton of tutorial videos and other edits made with AE! They really help!! Hope you do great!
