    Hi Luke
Does remote paid work (done outside Australia) counts towards 2 year requirement for 482 to 186.

Dear sir, if I worked 2 years on 482 and after the employer is not ready to sponsor PR then what will happen for PR. Will get PR worked on the same occupation.

Hi, thank you for watching our videos. To apply for the 186 visa Temporary Residence Transition pathway, you need to hold a 482 visa and work for the same employer for at least 2 years. Additionally, your employer needs to nominate you for the 186 PR. The best way to receive advice and explore your visa options if your employer do not nominate you is by booking an appointment. Hi Luke, I have a 482 electrical engineering technician visa under the employer sponsorship program; they didn't require me to take assessments prior to lodgement. My question is, do I still need to take assessments when transitioning to 186? Thanks

      Thanks for your question.
No need for skills assessment when you apply for TT 186. That is one of the advantages of holding the 482 first.
But still need competent English IELTS all 6.0 or equivalent for PTE.

😢 I turn 45 in December. I’m a room leader in a childcare centre and I currently on the 482 Visa for other 3 years. I’ve worked for almost 2 years for the same employer. I need to apply for the 186 Visa but it’s too late ⏰

There's an age exemption, as long as you applied for the 482 before 45. So you don't need to worry.
