Who puts all these roots here!
I don’t know what was more fun the trail or the Banter between Nick and Dave so funny Plus New spine for Rory on that HT the mad man but Fairplay to him
I lost my way on Fromme last summer and ended up going “up” the Skull (pushed the whole way obviously) and then down Lower Ladies (still pushed most of the way lol!) and crashed on the Monster coaster because I didn’t carry enough speed to get over the second hill. Those trails are no joke and truly for experts only.
SICK riding guys!! you are sooo lucky to have some of the best trails in the world on your doorstep. I gotta get out their to test my skills. Keep on shred'n bro!
97k more like 970k! You deserve way more
Master Class in Jank.
If you're not teasing each other to no end, are you even friends? 😂
those roots are giving me heart palpitations! Nice line choices - crazy trails
I feel, like you, Dale and Dave should have a Bike-Olympics: You each get to choose a trail to race on, approx. the same length; then also add a pumptrack, trials, skate bowl/street run, and a park DH lap. Overall winner gets to be King Of Kings? 😄
massively impressive 🙌🏽 Love the silent bike 👏🏽
Those trails are INSANE!!
thanks for the ride!!! ✌️✌️✌️
loved this video, Nic! I could really tell you were havin a good time with the squad riding bicycles 👍
GoPro effect on that first trail but holy moly that still looked steep! Well done!
Saw you guys there on the climb up :)
Unsprung Hero! Hardtails on that craziness is pretty hardcore. Nice.
Dangerous Dab and Dab Stone 🛎️
this is sick!!
My gosh, beautifull trail, where is?
we need an AHH/Woah compilation
The Jank Bank.. OMG 🤣
That first section -😮😮😮
Love the great work keep it up
Your tech skills has progressed very quickly. I can only imagine how much janky it is in person.
I wonder what ya'll 's building technique is to preserve the wood feature's foundation in such wet weather climate. Here in FL some of the wood used rots quickly depending on which trail system you ride but mostly affects heavily on coastal areas. (obviously)
The trick is to use the right species. Cedar lasts by far the longest in this climate, hemlock rots quickest
van is now my fav you tuber
Would you mind sharing the mount STL or URL you are using for the helmet/camera mount?
Good vid :)
Cheers ...
sick!!
what winter gloves do you use?
Super techy…
Skill “over 9000!”
Always a great video!
What is the pack Dave is wearing?
JKOM is a new Strava achievement. Got it. 😁
Amazing lovit
Great video.
So I’m thinking you need Drew Carey around, what’s my line?! Or maybe you’re just a B actor, needing to be fed your lines, will need to get your cue cards for Christmas! Great riding, buddy!
Pretty sure we need a "jank" word count overlay.
Jank bank lol
Vancan are you running tire inserts and if so witch ones and front and rear ? thanks
cushcore front and rear

Does Rory have a YT channel?
not yet 👀
#KingOJank
great riding, kinda blurry video.
Well it looks so dark so cameras always suffer in the dark especially under trees
@@vancouversworstdrivers That or the inst360 crazy fish eye view kinda sucks in low light.
@mustclime5311 I've never used one but I have a GoPro Hero 8 and the moment it gets dark video footage gets super blurry
With all due respect, maybe mellow out a bit on the "jank" comments? This trail (and many of the other historic trails on the North Shore Shore) are not jank. They are just original, well used, largely natural, AMAZING trails that helped craft the sport that we all enjoy now, in all of its different forms. Trails like Bookwus have largely been maintained as close to what they were when first opened for good reasons. History, raw challenge, and to keep variety and spice alive and kicking for all riders to enjoy.
You guys came to Fromme that day to show your buddy the classic, original lines on the North Shore that basically started the sport. Respect those rooty, slippery, steep, and occasionally desperate lines for what they are. Repeatedly describing them as jank takes away from the amazing videos you guys create. Not every trail is smooth, groomed, and flowy. Nor should they be in my opinion.
Apologies for the rant and sounding like an old man. But I am, and I wouldn't trade these masterpieces of "jank" for anything! 😊
"Janky - A super awkward or rough bit of trail." [lynettedeaconmtb.com/2021/05/30/a-dictionary-guide-to-trail-features/]
Bookwus is janky. We like Bookwus. Therefore we like janky trails; we wouldn't choose to ride 'em if we didn't! 🙂
I understand the definition. Unfortunately, many people of the younger generation do not. The term jank, when used to describe trails these days, is almost always understood as a derogatory term.
Only my opinion of course. 😊
