It depends. We have easy access to most materials nowadays so Orbs for armour and weapons of any rarity are easy to get. You get so many copies nowadays of weapons you normally don't need to use Orbs for MLB but that's due to how many free pull campaign we get sometimes back to back and how many free goodies we get alongside our monthly allowance of gems, tickets and mats JP enjoys and Global has never gotten which in return does not make that hard to MLB the majority of weapons. Crystals are a joke on the new reworked dungeons, on lvl50 you get everything to lvl up, up to lvl 80 and 1 flower cactuar with 3x book gives you enough for one lvl 1 to 80, but it doesn't really matter anymore as one of the changes coming up for JP and eventually global is that characters will start with crystal level and normal lvl at 60 or 70, don't remember well so less grinding overall. The lvl 90 crystals are easy to get, and since Shops got price adjustment last year, it takes less runs overall unless the shop is made to last longer because is really stacked so as a new player you are never out of most resources. Ingots for Weapons and Armour come rather easy nowadays with the 2~4 chocoboards and events so getting a EX+ and Armour+ is less hard than in global, in fact at least for armour in my case I have 99+ ingots for them with around 30 ingots for weapons so most of the time New players will be ready with little to no effort on JP and can farm materia with ease if you know which materia you want for your teams. Having said that, purple armour tokens are still rare with their ingots and nuggets coming in low quantities so spent them wisely if you wanna get blue armour, same for BT+ books and nuggets but compared to Luf+ era, it got slightly better so new players should not have too many problems if they don't spend them without concern. Summoning board come easy, specially with the mog pass. Normal mog pass give you double the amount and JP report told us that premium will give us triple the amount. That's is already applied for Enchantments poing for the Character board. Per event with normal Mog pass you gte 15000 points and with premium 30000. Artifacts with either mog pass are really easy to get out of them good passives so once again it has gotten way better than it used to be. Now LDs are still premium shop so you don't get tokens for free like with the other weapons. It's either buy a really overpriced bundle or pull for them but with 3 banner LD the pool is diluted. And is further diluted with the new toy in the shop, Force Weapons as they have the same drop rate as LDs. They are incredible but take a lot of resources to MLB. 200 Orbs for 4 High Orbs, yeah they need a special Orb for MLB so unless you have several Orbs at hand. The only way of getting them is via dupes. Devs are starting to give free high Orbs because they accepted they were kinda stingy with them so until that moment comes, Orbs are sacred. Starting thismonth we got a Chocoboards with 2 High Orbs so they are doing the changes they promised even if they are still coming up kinda slowly. MLBing a FR weapon give you 2 Force Crystal's which are used for Force Enhancing characters upt to Lvl 30 in order to get further stats and new Force passives so MLBing a FR weapon has a good reward but also Shinryu difficulty gives ya Force Shards, 20 to be exact so if you wanna LVL Up to FR lvl 30,you will need 60 shards aka 3 Shinryu stages. You can mix FR shards and crystals so is not all gloom but yeah they are really scarce. UT weapon materials are starting to come more easily and frequently, so far just by doing Crystal lvl 90 and beating a Lufenia with all characters, you can MLB 2 UT weapons and have LB1 on a third without problems. 6 man battles gives you enough for 1 level per stage and Premium Mog pass give you enough for 1 Lvl up per month via 20 cores that are gaine with special missions from the event in turn. BT tokens are the same as in global with Premium Mog pass giving ya 10 if you exchange the Mog medals on them so it is still locked by time if you only get them normally, having said that, we recently got a change so no more Challenge quest for the tokens. Now you need to beat either Lufenia or Chaos without using friend unit with 3 featured units in order to get them which is considerably easier. I know its a lot of writing but overall things get way better from a grinding perspective and this game becomes really new player friendly and since Global team like to port things up earlier you might get all the QoL changes faster than you realise.
