Thank you 😊 how long does it normally take to cure when it is pretty big. I got home Saturday night from an event and never saw his eye until I got back. I have watched a lot of tutorials and also started the warm cloth and drops and antibiotic

My English bulldog has this issue. I don't want to put her under anesthesia she's only 10 months so I have been massaging it back and it stays for the most part maybe comes out once or twice a week.

So I forgot to mention this in the video. The longer the gland stays out the more likely it is to get damaged. When the gland is out of place and dry it gets inflamed and the gland can become damaged to the point where it can no longer do its job appropriately requiring you to have to put drops in the eye at least everyday potentially for the rest of their lives. So the best thing would be to go ahead and get the gland surgically repaired as quickly as possible. I spoke to an ophthalmologist about this recently and they said that they've done them on dogs as young as 3 months old but can wait a month or so to do the surgery if you want the patients to be a little bit older. At 10 months of age she should be safe assuming physical exam checks out normal and appropriate pre-op Labs like EKG blood work are performed for screening purposes

When you try to correct Cherry eye was surgery and it doesn’t work do you bill the customer anyway?
Yes, if the customer wants their dog back, they must pay the bill.

I was playing with my dog and she’s relentless careless and persistent. I was hiding a toy under me and she forced her head in my stomach to get the toy. When she popped out I saw this and I was like wtf? 😳 and I held her close to me and massaged her face and it disappeared I’m wondering if I worsened it though just cause it went away doesn’t mean it was resolved what do you think?

What happens if a patient doesn’t receive surgery to correct?

I suspect when a dog gets their head stuck in a baby great as a puppy, the pressure of the puppy, struggling to get out could cause cherry eye.

So all I did was go to the laundromat my puppy is not even 4 1/2 months old I come home and his white area seems to be swollen out just a little bit and turning red adjusting the corner I'm assuming it's cherry eye because his sibling is on her way to surgery for the same thing just a ballpark what do you think the repair of this cost I have to save money in order to treat my puppy now and I don't even know where I'm going to get started at or if I can even afford to have this fixed I don't know what to do help me he is a Maltese Shih Tzu
