the music industry is shitting down our throats. bands make albums that they cant reproduce live, sell us the albums and the concert tickets, only to deliver somthing that falls far short of the expectations we developed by hearing the album. singers are especially guilty.
I'm no expert but I'm guessing performing live where you have a lot more to concentrate on such as having good stage presence and all that jazz that it's hard to keep the same quality as the studio where they are focused on doing one thing and only that thing. They also spend hours on end perfecting it in the studio whereas live you've got one shot.
im by no means a profitable musician, but if i cant sing somthing mostly the same each time, i dont sing it. i either tighten it up to get a reliable product each time, or change the notes so they are easier to sing. this way, a singer can always sound strong when he is performing, and only ever sound weak when he is practicing and pushing his limits.
I clearly must have watched/heard a different performance than you did because they reproduced the sounds of the song quite well and the vocals were actually very solid. There are lots of bands that what you said applies to, but HLH just really isn't one of those bands. Obviously, it doesn't sound identical to the studio recording, but that's literally impossible to do, whether you're a solo act or a five-piece like HLH. They put on a damn good show. If this doesn't meet your standards for a good live performance, then like 95% of bands must suck in your opinion lol
BLESS THIS BAND

Russel brand is amazing at guitar

His screams are actually really good.
+Matt Smith I hope they do become a lot heavier
He actually auditioned for the band as a scream and they didn't want him and then he sent them a message of him singing over xbox live lol

It's so disappointing when you hear a band and the music is good, but live they're shit...
This is not the case, this band is so good live.
