    The way your mind works blows me away, those Doors are perfect , it would of been nice to see some handmade hinges but we all know money is master, but even with that flat bar over the top of those hinges makes it look and act 100 % stronger. Again another perfect job, Well Done Sir,

    A nice black decal saying Tire Haulers or something like that on the white walls of the side of the truck and you got a beautiful truck with those perfect rear black doors made by NBS. But.... only thing I did not like were those hinges. 12 dollar hinges are too flimsy for this type of a job. In time with the regular movement of the truck riding those hinges will give. But, the actual workmanship over all is 10 of 10 !!!

    What i really like about your designs is that you too are an out of the box thinker, but you are more often than not on the "other side of the box" than I am. So just about every time you design something, it is totally different to what I was thinking I would do. I then get an "aha" moment when I realise what you are up to and how it will work!

    Awesome job on fabricating that door. I noticed you’re using a high gloss paint. The metal has to be almost perfect for high gloss and if it’s not, it’ll show a glare and imperfections in the metal when the light hits it. Try using a semi gloss paint or a satin black. I think they make an equipment black. Any ways love watching your channel.

    • @NBSWELDING
      @NBSWELDING  6 месяцев назад

      Your correct...highest rust protection comes from gloss paint though

    Only a Genius makes a lot out of a little! Good job, as usual. About them DeWalt Pilot Points: I've used them a lot! Once they are done, use your Bench Grinder, grind them flat and then sharpen them like a regular drill bit. No need to throw them away...

  • @williamthomas9463

    CB, those doors look great! A true pro welder/designer guy you are. Sometime make a video on making hinges and latches and hasps. Mount them to a panel, mount it to the wall and you can show your customers what you can make.

      I usually buy the latches, hinges, and hasps....the mass produced products are sold for way less money than what it costs to custom make those kinds of things
      No way I can compete with a company that makes latches at the rate of dozens or hundreds per day

  • @bombardier3qtrlbpsi

    For Top latch make one or use that one. like the bottom but just a spring with a cable through a pipe welded to door. Just pull on cable to pull latch down. Just an idea. If you built that for me I would want a top latch. With all the effort put into the doors. 👍

    • @brianwalker1933
      @brianwalker1933 Год назад

      Great idea.
      Not having a locking latch at the top isn't a good idea. The doors need to be secured at the top, to prevent movement in transit and to add to the doors strength, to resist bending/flexing when/if the tryes do press against the inside of the doors, especially if the truck is driving up some very steep hills. Other than that, the doors are well designed and made. He done an excellent job of this.

    As a box truck mechanic there’s no way that corner post will last
    They patched the rear corner with steel but them corner post tend to fail
    And I’m talking trucks with rollup doors
    So theres gonna be definitely gonna have problems in the future
    (Unless they got piedmonts angles on the 4 corners of the rear of the truck to reinforce the square of the box)

    • @NBSWELDING

  • @tdotw77
    @tdotw77 Год назад

    That door stopper on bottom of left door that keeps it from going in too far doesn't interfere with the fold-up lift underneath, does it? The lift comes up level to the diamond plate deck so it might need a little notch cut out of it for that piece of angle iron coming down. Anyways I'm sure you got it figured out afterwards! Keep it up! 👍👌🛠️🗜️🔧📐📏✏️🔩⛓️🔨⚠️🚧💪👨🏻‍🏭😄

    • @NBSWELDING
      @NBSWELDING  Год назад

      Anytime that the lift gate would be raised up to the deck height those doors would be open...so there would be no need to notch out for the stopper...when the doors are open everything is out of the way of the lift gate...there would be no reason to raise the lift gate when the doors were closed.

    • @NBSWELDING
