The Chaplain Guy had a cross that also worked against the chaos marines.
I think the going back to melee weapons in Sci-Fi settings makes some sense due to advances in power armor and augmentations. It’s a bit weird but kid of makes sense when ya realize just how strong and fast Space Marines are.
