Incredible! I followed 2 live video feeds and a flight tracker, all at the same time. Total wicked awesomeness to follow a first flight from a new airplane!
i'm not saying it's never happened, but it's rare. Certainly it would make headline news every time it does and i'm not really that familiar with TV in general but i'm sure what spawned the program was the fact the aeroplane crashes tend to have a habit of being disastrous and therefore appealing to the viewer. But more in tune with the original statement. The people running the business put a lot into safety, because airplane crashes are very well publicized and drastic and the market goes
Oh & just cause I'm sensing ur the genius type for even saying that; Whether it be in a populated area or not, what do you think might have spawned the ongoing series "Air Crash Investigations"? Which has presented a new Airline crash every week, for many years now CheesemanXCV?
down incredibly rapidly when just one occurs. Therefore it's in their best interest to make a solid investment into safety making sure that these things happen very rarely.Aviation safety is serious business. aprox 36 crashes a year in the US, and roughly 10950000 commercial flights per year (in the US). so one crash per 304167 flights. these things will NOT just fall out of the sky and the certainly aren't likely to hit towns let alone destroy them...
Hmmm. Interesting facts. I'm beginning to feel there's been a misunderstanding here. I wasn't referring to the initial production of these things, I was referring to once they r sold off to a country that just doesn't care. I remember flying in a DC9 back in 1998 while in a 3rd world country & the thing just shook & rattled the whole way through the fretting flight lol
why should it fall out of the sky? furthermore the probability of it landing on a town is slim and the likelihood is even slimmer as if the plane does go down the pilot will do everything that he can to minimize damage.
Why would you cry? That's very weird. I love Aviation so much but I wouldn't cry at an aircraft taking off. I'd sit back and admire it but not cry, that's just weird.

Sorry, but I just cried. That was the most awesome thing I've seen all year.

yeh wooo its a plane taking off, holy shit jizzed in my pants
lol, so no plane has ever failed & crashed into a populated area?
You certainly fit the stereotype CheesemanXCV
