That cyclist was at fault in my opinion. You should always be riding with traffic. Not against it. You're far more visible to cars pulling out when the drivers only have to look in 1 direction to safely pull out.
If you look carefully the cyclist doesn't even seem to see the car, just stares ahead
@@voxac30withstrat right that's what I'm saying. He just assumed the driver saw him. There's many reasons why you're supposed to flow with traffic instead of against.
the driver could only go right so he doesn't have to look right for other cars, the cyclist should of been on the other side of the road, and shouldn't even be on the road.
Drivers look in the direction of travel, 100% cyclist fault. Ride in the proper direction.
I would agree with this but you can barley see that the driver didn't stop at the stop sign.

Followed the “advice” shown by some other riders on previous videos here as a driver had cut me off and then proceeded to brake check me, so I went around him, taking his mirror with me as I went. He clearly wasn’t using them. Not proud of it, but god it felt good at the time
What speed were you going? Did you wear gloves? Did it hurt? I know for a fact I will eventually be in a situation where I do that too, and I want to prep myself for the pain that may or may not come with it lmao

As someone who rides their bike on a daily basis, You don’t ride in front of a car on the corner, You stop and wait for them to pull out into the main road and then you can cross.

the bike on fire prob is basic biker mistake by changing the gas tank plug for one of those easy open ones which on a crash just fly away and the gas from the tank got in fire while spilling away from it
Remember inmost states getting out your vehicle to confront someone is an act of aggression which could be met with deadly force! That's how it is seen in Florida not sure about other states. Starting tomorrow constitutional carry goes into affect so be careful getting out of your vehicle if you don't want to get shot! 😂

The driver is ALWAYS at fault WHEN it can be reasonably expected that a pedestrian or bicyclist (nowadays other random 1, 2, and 3 wheel things) can jump out in front of you and as the car was the 1 approaching a cross-street, it's internationally known that they're responsible for navigating safely and cautiously because there is greater potential for harm compared to if this was a road and no other cross traffic was possible.
So you are saying that cyclists can mindlessly ride on the road and cars should watch out for them?? The cyclist was cycling in the wrong direction with headphones and didn'tt even looking right or left at the intersection, and i should watch out for that kind of people 😂😂😂😂
@vrlimir0902 I didn't say that. I said that the driver of a vehicle is always responsible when they are the ones approaching an intersection. And because people are people (e.g. stupid) that the driver of a vehicle that moves as quickly and with as much momentum, and with the ability to generate force to cause traumatic injury to pedestrians and bicyclists alike, as a car does, then that driver MUST approach that intersection with even greater caution because the potential for non-vehicular traffic to be there, or show up unexpectedly.
Did that car slow down sufficiently prior to approaching that intersection? Absolutely not.
Was that bicyclist stupid in the way they approached that situation? Most likely, yes.
Which one had the right of way? The one traveling without changing direction. Because the car was turning, it is their responsibility to inform themselves of the situation and the dangers to themselves and the danger that they can cause others by their actions.
It has to be that way because almost every country requires car drivers to have training. Not many countries, or local governments, require training or even safety equipment for bicycling. Supposed it was a pedestrian or someone who was running 🏃♂️ down the street, but in opposite direction to vehicle traffic (like the video). Does that mean that the car driver can say, "They were being stupid and weren't coming from the same direction I thought everything and everyone else was traveling from?" Maybe, if it were roads that specifically was limited to motorized vehicles on a motor highway. But this was a regular street, with intersections, sidewalks, cross-traffic, and pedestrian traffic, as well as supporting small businesses and residences on both sides. As a good car driver, yes, you should watch out for the bicyclists and pedestrians to do something stupid because you can harm them. You agreed to do that when you agreed to get in the driver's seat.
I don't recall the last time a pedestrian or bicyclist (or motorcyclist) killed a motorist on impact when they walked into or bicycled, or rode into a car (with the caveat of horrible nighttime riding accident with slick roadway when motorcyclist went 70 mph right into the side of a car).

I am a cyclist and from my point of view, she was wrong since she was driving on the opposite side of the street and that is only done on highways, since in normal streets it is common for that to happen

Actually you're almost right, except with who is at fault. The bicycle rider would be at fault because she was riding against the traffic. Even in Germany you have to ride with traffic so in that case she would be at fault. Just saying. Best wishes mate
