I find it baffling at times that Indians seem to squabble over petty ICE features like bluetooth/larger infotainment system/speakers/ etc etc but they will happily glance over the safety ratings of these cars. The Jazz is a 5 star NCAP rated car if I am not mistaken so its pretty evident that most of the manufacturer's money are in the chassis build which is why they compromise on the minor electronic gadgets inside. Its also baffling that the two biggest car makers in India approach the opposite way where they load the cars with a lot of electronic items but they compromise heavily on chassis build quality. Some of those 10 lakh cars, heck even the XUV crumples like tinfoil after a rollover whereas I've seen a Honda Jazz survive a treefall on top of its roof during the Chennai floods coverage. People in India need to start looking out of the cabin comfort list and start paying more attention to what the NCAP safety rating stars indicate. Also, stars alone don't mean much but pay attention to the report they attach and read the description for every occupant. If you buy a family car its obviously meant to keep your family safe and comfortable, but safety as usual should be your priority over comfort.
cagednm69 Kindly drive the new vw polo to see what build quality is all about. The structural integrity, fit and finish, is just miles ahead of the jazz, swift, i20, and far far better than the tincan baleno..
I agree , but sadly, we in India don't get the same 5 rated Jazz which has side airbags in addition, without which it would not have achieved that 5* ! Although that would reduce maybe a star if tested, it would be better than the mass makers. I had to choose between VW and Honda, and finally getting my jazz this week voting for practicality !
Owning jazz for more than 4yrs, I feel knowingly r unknowingly, choosing jazz was the right decision I made in my life. Such a wonderful car and driving experience. It just lacks torque in lower gear. Rest its a complete package. Love to ride it more.
I own the I-Dtec sv, as you said the noise of the engine can be heard inside the cabin, but you'll get used to it. Space inside the cabin is phenomenal, highway driving is fun as it requires no downshift and it's really well built. I've done 30k kms in about two years. Maintenance cost is low as compared to others, and I'm pretty much satisfied with the Jazz, as it's my first ever Honda car in my life and absolutely fell in love with this brand. Ride quality is awesome and even after 30k done in a diesel engine doesn't feel like it's actually ran that long. I test drive VW polo, baleno(a car made of tin) and I20(gives you headache after long run and maintenance as told by users). I've done a really good decision with buying this car.
I recently drove the Jazz from Bangalore to Coorg and back. Loved the car. Best bits were the very well placed cup holders specially on the driver's side. Had the same issues on the side pillars which restricted the visibility, etc etc. But over all, it was a good drive and Jazz just cruised effortlessly.
i hav been waiting for this for more than a year ago i hav been dirving the petrol version of this jazz 1.2 l 5 speed manual its loded with gr8 space in head room and leg room as u said its perfect for road trips i hav covered 23k kms in it as its a cool car to hangout with yes it is fuel efficient and have less maintenece n all i feel good about the car and more over i feel good about the review too as it speeks what i hav to say yes the diesel version is quit noisy in to the cabin but the petrol version is super silent ✌✌✌
Do you still own the jazz? What's your long term opinion abt it? It's service interval is 6months,so won't it shell more bucks? Also the real time mileage for the petrol?
When the Jazz was launched I had booked it.. but after finding out their pricing in variants I decided to go for the i20 Elite. Best decision ever. Jazz is awesome though, if you have money to splurge.
I'm looking for a good vehicle around 10lac which one do you suggest Maruti Suzuki S-CROSS 200 Sigma or Honda jazz vx Diesel ?? as jazz seems more practical n powerful.
I love the Jazz. In fact I do own a Jazz petrol V myself. It looks good, the interior space is enormous, and the petrol engine is virtually silent! The front glass is enormous and the windows do give a very airy feel. And yeah the blindspot you mentioned is very annoying. Often some bike rider will sneak up in it. Planning to get those convex corner mirrors added. All in all it's pretty practical, considering that even the petrol can give upto 22kmpl on the highways.
Sir, does the V variant of 2016 or 2017 model get the magic seats ? I am planning to buy a used car, I perfectly fall in the age group mentioned in the video . I have learnt driving around 5-6 months ago through a Wagon r in driving school. Here in Karnataka and Goa the price of used cars on higher side. I wanted to opt for Ritz Zxi petrol but the asking price is ₹3.5 lakhs for a 10 year old 90,000 km single owner driven car. The car is available at a dealer though but is maintained in near to mint condition, I have verified the service records as well. But if I spend some more I might get a Honda Jazz 2016 V petrol for around ₹4.3 lakhs second owner and 65,000 km driven even the vehicle is near to mint condition and directly available with the owner. Since I am a new driver would you suggest to opt for choice is the car quite big then the swift or ritz ?
@@vaibhav_naik first off, Honda is a good used vehicle to buy because of it's reliability. I myself sold my Jazz at about 67000km and it was still just as refined as it was in its first year. You can get used to a big-ish vehicle soon enough. Prior to the Jazz my driving experience was on an Alto K10. So it was a big jump for me as well. As for magic seats, no, the V doesn't get magic seats at the rear. But IMO it's not that worth of a feature unless you plan to very frequently adjust the rear seats or flatten them to carry loads of cargo in the back.
@@AshishKulkarni7 sir can Ford freestyle petrol 2018 titanium or Grand i10 2014 asta optional be considered as a used car ? Grand i10 might be available under ₹3 L Freestyle might be available for ₹3.6 L The jazz 2016 V petrol is available for ₹4.20 L
Took a test drive of the CVT. Absolutely amazing drive, comfortable and stress free. But the price tag gives you all the jitters!! And at that price point there is no touch screen infotainment system, no push button start, no gun metal finished alloy weels, no spoilers, no sun roof!!!!!
automatic transmission or a smooth manual transmission with light cluch Which one is better for city use ? Is the difference is vast between this two transmissions ?
Planning to buy an used Jazz I DTEC - Diesel - Full manual - with Magic seats in Bangalore. Any suggestions on the year of the model that has magic seats ? It seems they have stopped that in newer variants
Hey, I want to buy a petrol version of jazz. are your reviews same for jazz petrol too? because if m not wrong you test rided disel version of it. thanks
Fabulous cinematography while on the drive! Interesting review as well.. sort of strange why Honda would leave out things like parking assists, push button start/stop even out of the top end model
I have been driving the Jazz Vx I-dtec from past one year and it is a complete package. I get nearly 21kmpl in city with A/C. A very stable ride on curves and bad roads. This is best review I have ever seen you guys are awesome.. I am 25 :p
HONDA Amaze E-MT MODEL is not manufacturing by HONDA right now and dealers giving waiting period upto 4 months in Delhi, can you please make video on it???? Thanks
Power drift is surely Tarantino of car review channels. Captivating visuals, one liners, suave soundtrack selection, surprise cameos, lip smacking storyboards.
Is CVT good for the long-term? I really love the paddle shifters as an option and I've never it seen on any other car. Does any other car has paddle shifting? Or will there be any new cars with paddle shifter?
what is the best competitor of jazz??? I am not a big fan of elite i20 because of its overrating, out o jazz and i20 don't, jazz have best comfort, better ride quality, more space, better millage, better suspension, better driving position and more important back seat is phenomenal, better boot space, better visibility, better headlights visibility, better breaks and it have all the necessary features, so my question is why would not i spend just 50,000 more for all these. And plz let me know where i am wrong and what should someone choose over jazz if someone is looking for a good hatchback for his/her lovely family Thank you
we bought jazz last year 0n 2016!it is good car performs well give rich look!it will satisfy the family it has best options and it will satisfy you in different way!
The CVT is not as good as the DSG, that is a far better technology. The diesel engine is nice, there is no turbo-lag, power delivery is very linear, but it is a very noisy/unrefined engine.
Ninad Mirajgaonkar no turbo lag ... but i jst drove my friends idtec city on a long drivr ... but frnd really ... Honda's diesel suks in situations of overtaking, initial nd intermediate accelaration ... on contrary to the Vento or Rapid ... as u hv said DSGs are wsy better but with gt tsi ..it has no paddle shifters which takes away the entire fun factor .. shifters do come with 85k premium ...😧😲😓
can you please tell about the built of the car... i own an i20 2011 model..nd the car is strong...but i feel just like other honda cars like amaze brv and city honda might have used thin metal and built a low strength car...
hyundai elite i20 1.2 sportz or honda jazz 1.2 S I VTEC or Baleno 1.2 DELTA which car is best for me. and in future I go CNG fuel, performance will be same or not. Please tell me
If petrol, Jazz would be the better choice and why would you use CNG with such a great engine? It already gives a decent mileage of about 15. Since it doesn't have factory fitted CNG option, it will mess with suspension, engine longevity, warranty etc.
Nice review. I own a Jazz VX I-DTEC for past 10 months and had driven around 17,000 kms. I drive daily in Bangalore traffic and get around 19kms/litre on an average. In highways my average is around 22kms/litre. Car is very spacious, comfortable seats and very good to drive both in traffic as well as highways. Down sides are that it's very costly and is not built for performance. It does reach 110 in 6th fear at 2000rpm itself but acceleration is very linear. I had upgraded my tires to 195/60R15 on the second day itself.
Absolutely delightful video. Very well presented. However, an intrusive piece of music (someone singing) was the sole sore part. Petrol variant could've been included too. 👍
Well I have driven this car long enough to confirm, the A pillar doesn't give you any blind spots, as suggested by the reviewer. They have smartly provided a window which helps a great deal while driving. The only drawbacks of this car are 1) slightly less ground clearance (at full loads n nasty speed breakers, the car will touch the road) 2) Certain features are missing like push buttons(masked with plastic), cruise control, auto door lock(available only in top end); however in European models these features are present.
Honda A quality ....friends i have two honda zaz petrol &diesel top variants.....I tried all other cars in this segment also ..but when idrive hoda...it was so smooth & spacious....I am driving petrol from last 3 year's without any problem...I just purchased diesel variant ..its also very smooth riding ....if U want to enjoy ur ride smoothly then Honda is best...
I own the VXMT Diesel top model of Jazz. It has been driven for little more then 5000 KMS and the fuel efficiency which i get is 21+ KMPL. Also this car is extremely comfortable to drive. Along with the service of Honda this car is one of the best in its class.
jazz is a grt car.. very practical very refined..solid built ..grt Highway cruiser..I own d petrol one..if u see it as individual it's a good buy bt it's never d case u know "survival of the fittest " . personally I wud not spend 9.72 (top spec diesel ) on jazz bcoz dt wud b unfair to a car , car named Punto Abarth.
My 2005 1.4 has no rattles, leaks, vices and other maladies normally evident in other 15 year old cars It still drives comparably, like a new car. How's that?
Great Video as always guys! What do you guys think about the diesel Jazz Top end model when compared to the newly launched Ignis? Is Jazz still the better choice?
Hi PD, nice video but the thing I missed the most was 1. A brief description of different varients ending with your expert advice as to which varient would be the best value for money, considering this is a below 10lakh car. 2. A short comparison with the direct competitors like i20 or the baleno.
Once again... a great video review. I had to buy a car recently and Jazz was on top of my list but after the test ride went for Ford Aspire which has better suspension and NVH levels and almost a lakh cheaper. Jazz looks better though. Ecosport trend variant and jazz top end cost same so... had to say😀
I agree with the handling being great on the older model at least , I doubt this one would be worse. I do like the jazz. what I don't like is the lack of engine type in the UK. just one engine which isn't nippy enough for me. as far as safety - jazz is a clear class leader on euro ncap for super minis. it puts bigger cars to shame. practicality gets top marks too. reliability is great of Hondas especially the jazz. maybe that's why they've stayed away from turbo engines on this model. I I would have picked up a jazz as my little runaround vehicle. it has a lot to offer and is a great all round vehicle but it's a tiny bit bland for me personally and in the end I went for something smaller and less practical because it was more fun. hopefully honda will offer more in The Way of fun at the next refresh. I'd snap one up if they did.
Finally , someone from all these reviewer generation pointed out Honda has not giving entire thali ... In terms of JAZZ specially the price for top end model
please put a comparison of i20,baleno and the jazz...the premium hatchback....Also please try to do it with Petrol cars as u hardly find any petrol engine review in the net.
Similar feeling... was confused between the jazz and the baleno... at the end bought the baleno (courtesy the lower price and the long equipment list). But my heart still beats for the jazz.😢
that's y I chose the i20 asta option over this car the jazz is a nice car but equipment level in the top i20 top end was unbeatable... nice review as always...
The only problem for me with the Jazz is that low ground clearance. Also the back seats are not as comfortable compared to the City(maybe because of the magic seats).
You've managed to echo every Jazz buyers thoughts.I just bought the 1.2 CVT 3 months ago.It is a hard decision when we disect it for its virtues and shortcomings with respect to practicality and price. I finally decided to ignore its shortcomings. It is a terrific city runabout but the 1.2+CVT leaves you hanging dry on the highways especially for quick overtakes
I was planning to buy CVT version. I thought the cvt comes with manual override for gear change. Then why is overtaking a problem? Did u try this option or did u just rely on the cvt to do the thinking?
I've tried the sports mode with paddle shifts. It just makes u feel like it's slightly quicker but that's really not enough because the engine is just too underpowered for the car. Especially while driving in the hills
Last night I binge-watched all the Indian review videos of the Honda Jazz; and I was desperately looking for a Power Drift video but there was none except for the first look one from 2 years ago. A little disappointed I thought to myself, "Well maybe Power Drift skipped on the Jazz for some reason" coz it's over 1.5 years since its launch. And then this evening just as I opened the RUclips app I saw a huge thumbnail saying, 'Review Honda Jazz by PowerDrift'-uploaded 4 hours ago; and I was like, "Whaaaaaaat!!". What do you guys have some kind of a cerebro that can track every other motorhead out there and tell you what they are thinking/wishing? P.S. Thanks a lot. You guys rock! P.P.S. I am 25. P.P.P.S. Whaaaaaaat!!:-P

The moment the guy started talking in the beginning of the video, I knew had to give this video a like. The guy's got excellent diction and pronunciation. The information given was precise and clear, and the video was very well shot. Great Job ! :D
the top spec petrol makes more sense...it's practical fun to drive and affordable and gives out average economy of 15kmpl in mixed(city+Highway) driving conditions and gentle throttle inputs..;)

After the VW scandal, and seeing as to how VW treats their sister company Skoda's customers I wouldn't put my money on their product ever again.

A funkier and peppier Ignis is what I would prefer or I would wait for 2018 Polo, as neither m I married nor I have kids by any chance
jazz is a grt car.. very practical very refined..solid built ..grt Highway cruiser..I own d petrol one..if u see it as individual it's a good buy bt it's never d case u know "survival of the fittest " . personally I wud not spend 9.72 (top spec diesel ) on jazz bcoz dt wud b unfair to a car , car named Punto Abarth.
Punit Kaul lol punto abarth is almost 11 to 12lakhs on road.. What are you saying?
Punit Kaul i am also using the ivtec jazz.just crossed 10 k kms..and i wanna knw what mileage ru getting at city and highways?
Nikhil Banger I'm using ivtec just crossed 4k kms with one long drive to delhi - jaipur ..
I'm getting milege of 11-12kms in city and 17-18 on highway
Asterisk Dude bro Punto is 9.90 lakhs (showroom price ) and jazz is 9.72 lakhs ( showroom price)
Sanchit Shinde yeah m getting around 15 to each litre..in city and Highway mix.
Oh boy! What an awesome review and video capturing , one of the best I have ever seen. A huge applause to your damn good video.
I felt Same bro..
@Powerdrift .... this new approach of 4 wheel review is way better than what you used to do .....keep it up ;)
My 2005 1.4 has no rattles, leaks, vices and other maladies normally evident in other 15 year old cars
It still drives comparably, like a new car. How's that?
Great Video as always guys!
What do you guys think about the diesel Jazz Top end model when compared to the newly launched Ignis? Is Jazz still the better choice?
Is honda jazz automatic good for 80 Kms travel everyday
plzzz tell me about ivtec ac performance
Hi PD, nice video but the thing I missed the most was
1. A brief description of different varients ending with your expert advice as to which varient would be the best value for money, considering this is a below 10lakh car.
2. A short comparison with the direct competitors like i20 or the baleno.
Such great shots, let down by twisted registration plate and shednet.
Top-end versions of these premium hatchbacks need to be under 10L on-road. The Jazz VX Diesel almost touches 11L in my city.
What's the gear used for filming!?
Finally , someone from all these reviewer generation pointed out Honda has not giving entire thali ... In terms of JAZZ specially the price for top end model
please put a comparison of i20,baleno and the jazz...the premium hatchback....Also please try to do it with Petrol cars as u hardly find any petrol engine review in the net.
Finally powerdrift!
You came up with up the jazz!
But too late!
Already bought one!
But we hope you enjoyed the video anyway :)
Which road are you testing on..... looks great to drive on.
The would be the road that leads to Lavasa, Pune.
Similar feeling... was confused between the jazz and the baleno... at the end bought the baleno (courtesy the lower price and the long equipment list). But my heart still beats for the jazz.😢
Can someone please confirm if the back seat of the honda city is more comfortable than the honda jazz? (awesome video powerdrift :) )
Nicely done ...please give some insight into CVT jazz compared to Polo GT DSG.?
CVT vs DSG... hmmmmmmmmm.
"Honda jazz PowerDrift review"
I was typing this for months and finally.
I was hoping for beige interior model too.
what's the minimum mileage gets on jazz
mad sleek gimbal game on the opening scene!
kudos for the editor and the camera operator
that's y I chose the i20 asta option over this car the jazz is a nice car but equipment level in the top i20 top end was unbeatable... nice review as always...
The only problem for me with the Jazz is that low ground clearance. Also the back seats are not as comfortable compared to the City(maybe because of the magic seats).
Devilrose Its a hatchback, Its the most spacious in its segment. City is a sedan which is the segment known for space and comfort.
Especially while driving in the hills
please give info's about fz250
Am i the only one who noticed slanted front number plate :-p
Anyway Jazz rocks ! Great video .
We did too, if that counts!
Thank you and remember to share the video ahead :)
Is the ground clearance bad for Indian road conditions at highways or speed breakers?
It's similar to most of the cars around this price bracket, 165mm. Never had any problems on highways or speed breakers.
Like the lounge mode very much . If my Polo GT offers the same I would have happier than now ;-)
Last night I binge-watched all the Indian review videos of the Honda Jazz; and I was desperately looking for a Power Drift video but there was none except for the first look one from 2 years ago.
Siddhant Rai haha we do have a version of cerebro! its the automotive passion that binds us altogether!! our spider senses tingle now and then :p *nothing to do with stats and data*cough*cough* apologies for the late review we just never had a chance to get the car in time but, we are always listening and *watching* you! #stalkeralert ✌😁
The moment the guy started talking in the beginning of the video, I knew had to give this video a like. The guy's got excellent diction and pronunciation. The information given was precise and clear, and the video was very well shot. Great Job ! :D
man! Amazing! the guy who chooses the music for the videos, massive #Respect they are epic!!
Our editors have quite a jukebox up their sleeves ;) Thank you!
We have a jazz diesel at home and it's a fantastic car and the nvh does get better with time
為什麼沒有中文解說?
You're right about the wheels, they' just look too small.
Great. Glad to see review like these from your team. Please also make a video of MSIL Baleno next time plz. It will be very helpful for a buyer.
Jazz is a Mini Innova.
Should I buy Honda jazz sv petrol for 50,000 discount (after discount price -7,40,000/-) gurgaon haryana
You can go ahead if it suits you perfectly!
Accurate description of my age group!
FunctionaLenny same here😊
which would be better??
Jazz V cvt or baleno zeta cvt
Undoubtedly the Jazz cvt. baleno is more of a tincan, I would never recommend it even to my enemies.
I have Jazz Vx petrol. It's doing good 😊 and like it.
vipin p nair what mileage ru getting in city/hughways?
Nikhil Banger , maximum in highway :15.5Km/l.
City drive: 13.5 km/l.
In both cases A/C was on.
After a long time had seen a great review on powerdrift. This new guy absolutely nailed it. would love to watch more...keep up the good work.
Thanks comrade. More motoring content heading your way, so make sure you enable Channel Notifications to get all the video updates.
Yes I am happy too
East or west jazz is the best
Your videos and music are AWESOME!! What camera do you use?
Thanks so much for the kind words, Pravin! :)
Could anybody suggest me what options do i have except dezire if i want to buy 5 seaters hatchback. Jazz seem overpriced in this range.
we get the same body design and is marketed as honda fit gp5 in sri lanka and its a hybrid. direct from japan
Nice review with just one complain. Why is the back ground music so loud?!! Its not a music video I think. Plz bring volume down.
the top spec petrol makes more sense...it's practical fun to drive and affordable and gives out average economy of 15kmpl in mixed(city+Highway) driving conditions and gentle throttle inputs..;)
wow, the editing was spot on! earned u a sub. :)
Proud owner of Jazz Vx petrol😊
Well Salman too must buy the Jazz.. for pedestrians' safety of course 😆
