The Cataclysm Classic prepatch is now live and has brought loads of expansion features into the game. Despite the original prepatch just not happening this time around, there is still a pretty solid amount of things to get done.

One thing (I think) you missed is the cooking daily in Stormwind/Orgrimmar. It gives the new cooking awards - and so is worth doing now to get a head start if you're going to be cooking a lot in Cata proper.
The fucking quests are bugged for Undercity anyway. Thabk u Blizz

Honor Tips!
Do hellfire daily tower quest it's giving 148 honor per day.
I wouldn’t worry too much about honor gear. Everything gets replaced in the first few hours of Hyjal questing.
@@brandonkruse6412this is for new 80 level alts, it's 270 lvl item gear for honor.
@@brandonkruse6412can't farm justice points as a fresh 80 without some starter gear. Pvp gear is the fastest way, so you can farm justice points for 85 gear
@@stillnotchill2560 You shouldn’t be farming justice at 80, you should be leveling to 85 and spamming dungeons.
This is like the fourth video I've seen where someone says you needed void storage to use transmog, which just isn't true. You could put transmog items into void storage without losing the appearance, AFTER the appearance was applied, but it wasn't a requirement to transmog. You couldn't even apply the appearance of an item after it was placed in your void storage because you needed direct access to the item in your bag to apply its appearance originally.
So, what was the purpose of it?
@@sahidcm The only real purpose of it was to keep equipment for nostalgia reasons, if you didn't want to vendor/delete the items. You could also store your items in it AFTER transmogging, but then you'd need to withdraw them every time you got an upgrade and needed to transmog again. That made it super expensive and just not worth it.
I think you forgot to mention the cooking dailies. They give a unique currency to unlock new cooking recipes, just like in Wrath. So it's a good idea to do them every day of the pre-patch!
a blue post about archaeology on Wednesday said that they screwed up and hadn't put a bunch of common items in the game but was apparently linked to how often you get rares. Something along the lines that the each rare you got made it harder to get another BUT that was reduced by how complete your common for that faction was. So you would easily get the first few rares but would suddenly hit a wall for a few races as you couldn't get the commons to offset the reduction from having the rares. so if you took 600 solves from pre wednesday to post wednesday your count will be more than someone doing it now....in theory.
Man i've got so much shit to catch up on. I quit in WOTLK so my main is only level 64. I barely have any transmog or achievements.

Most of the Archeologys stop solving before hitting the jackpot so never stop solving
You can do another quest at the blackwater river. It's 220 honor a day doing that and the 3 venture bay dailies while in a guild

Its a shame they have produced a half baked version of cata. I don't mean the bugs and such thats expected and will be fixed im sure. Its things like the guild perks. I realise that in practice everyone will have had these eventually if guilded...but to just add them as a baseline feels a little lazy and quite honestly like a private server approach. Wouldn't it have been better to just remove them entirely? Otherwise its not really +10% JP is it, that is now just the standard JP so how does it function as a perk?
I’m doing all the “new quests” and think they are really fun any well designed (first time for me doing them though^^)

I'm not sure if I wasn't paying attention or not (pretty sure I was) but what came to be with scougestones? I know that was a big question mark in terms of what will happen with them in terms of conversion because they are a new thing
Nothing will happen. They are still used to buy ulduar gear and that's all they will ever be used for.

OSRS is my main game, so when you made the comparison, I knew it was for me.
I'm trying to finish leatherworking on my druid. Good gravy, that's a lot of dead animals. The wow-professions guides are pretty nice though.
So, no prepatch events? Elemental invasions?

Ive been doing arch since launch whenever i can, im at 250 dwarf solves, and 175 Troll solves and ive gotten just a handful of rares....its awful lol but JUST KEEP DIGGING
How the fuck do you have 250 dwarf and 175 trolls lmao, are you just dropping tens of thousands of gold on dwarf runes? I've used every dwarf rune I've gotten and sold all my Troll Tablets and I'm at like 210 Troll and 160 Dwarf

@@jamesgrimaldi8557 Yes and no. They fixed Pterrodax Hatchling. That means you can fully solve the Fossil tree. When you fully solve 1 tree, what happens is that those sites will show less, giving you more of the other sites.

I dont know what i did but im overflowing with fossil fragments. Im always capped at 200 but i keep having 4 to 5 fossile dig sites show up:*(

I’m giving cata a chance right now during the prepatch. First thoughts is that world is very empty because leveling through LFD is so efficient. I like dungeons but the world is very empty IMO. I understand a lot of players are level 80 and waiting for the new zones but just saying what my experience is right now. Not a bad time but not a great time either
Interesting. I’ve started a new toon to see the goblin leveling zones, and even in the barrens or ashenvale, there will be a wait for mobs to respawn. Hope your server gets more populated soon
Change your server. There’s wait times for quest bosses on the big servers
You’re probably not on a good server. Google ironforge pro cata server populations. Go to the server with the highest one. For Na. Faerlina for horde. Benediction for alliance.
You might be playing the wrong faction or wrong server. The factions are VERY imbalanced on every server.

Such a shame they removed mass sum and res but more so mass summon. It was such a fun spell and invited WPvP to happen. One of the reasons why WPvP was so explosive in Cata was because of mass sum. Sadge

I can’t bother to do daily’s in retail why is it worth doing now, same with rep farming to get toys and mount, mean less in a re run of the game.
I'm at 550 night elf artifacts solved still no trinket.
What was worth it for our guild was that on our realm grob we got got 450 allys vs 400 ish horde. we kept them at a stale mate outside org for 2 and a half hours. (healers at the end had 1800+ kills) we then ran in and get the worlds first kill garrosh hellscream. Who i might add is 85, so it took 30 minutes to do.
The server was so laggy blizz was being begged by horde to step in for "stability"
The hordes discord was full of people screaming all types of slurs at eachother while we were all singing together.
I played for an hour, logged off, then logged back in...my character was already deleted. Is that normal?
I think you changed accounts without knowing . Btw this weekend WoW classic is free so maybe you logged into your WOW(2) account in bnet by mistake

maybe you can help me out; i’m bit of a noob but every guide says you can learn all secondary professions. Right now I’m stuck with first aid and cooking. Did I screw up? I can unlearn main professions, but none secondary.
You can learn as many secondary professions as you want, no limit. Can do cooking, fishing, first aid and archeology.
You can ask a guard in stormwind/ironforge - or orgrimmar if you’re horde where to go learn to them

Personally for me, xmog is where its at for pre parch. I love spamming the old raids on all my toons getting tier etc so i can look either goofy or badass lol

Blizzard ruined guilds in Cata. I was so excited for Cata but now won’t be playing it. Thankfully there are private servers that actually care about the game and got it right.

It’s barely better than the normal Reclaimed Ashkandi, and any heroic raid 2 hander (especially the Heroic Ashkandi) is better than Zin’rokh, given that they’re ilvl 372 vs Zinrokh’s ilvl 359. It’s a very good weapon, but it isn’t BiS in T11.
It's pre-raid BiS. There are several better weapons from the heroic raids.
