From destructive tornadoes to massive squall lines, The United States is the best place in the world to catch a glimpse of these unstoppable forces of nature. Those lightning photographs are unbelievable!
ITS THE MAN
Holy wow, Celton! You really captured the full spectrum of storms that year, from monsoons to sprites to supercells. Extremely well done!
Yeah it really was a super well rounded year for me. Still hunting for that annual tornadofest storm or a Gigantic Jet. Maybe 2024 👀
Life is beautiful if you look up and see it's wonders. Look from a different lens and you'll see it's beauty.
Dude I expected this guy to have 550k subscribers but only 20k dude you’re so underrated
Thank you!
What I was thinking too
agreeded
he got 30k now
Alarm: "SCREE SCREE SCREE!"
Celton: "you dont say, its not like theres a giant tornado on the ground"
😂😂😂
lol
This channel keeps getting better and better - feels like a legend in the making. Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you!
Awesome video filled with crazy footage and well edited! I'll get over there one day, getting tired of chasing the rubbish storms here in Australia
One of the storm chasers I see all the time in the alley is actually from Australia, his name is Daniel Shaw.
This is so astonishingly jaw dropping. Your footage alone is mesmerizing, and the way you edited it, especially with the music, wow...
I can't wait to see everything you do going forward. I think your career is only just beginning.
Thank you!
"Bird FART tornado!!"??? LOL I've never heard someone say that before! 😂😂😂
Technically he said "Sad little bird for a tornado" but I can definitely see where one might mishear 'of the' as 'fart' given how fast he said it.😅
Fantastic camerawork and photography, video composition, and storytelling. Extreme W.
This video is beautiful. Absolutely stunning. Amazing quality, it was like watching a docuseries on the telly. Fantastic!!
Thank you! I put in a silly amount of effort into videos like this so it means a lot to hear that.
@@CeltonHenderson awh well it shows! Incredible video honestly. It came up after I finished watching your Plainfield video and I'm so happy it did. Also loved the Plainfield video but this was insanely good. I also subscribed so I'll be back on your channel again! I hope you get more recognition xx
Supercells really do look like alien motherships sometimes. I guess sometimes truth is stranger AND more beautiful than fiction… Wish I could go out in the plains and chase but I’m still too young at 21, stuck in NJ, and don’t have a job. One day, man, one day…
They really are incredible alien looking storms. I started chasing when I was 19. I'm 22 now. As long as you can teach yourself the knowledge you need to know and find some spare time I'm sure you can make it work. Start small with local storms and work your way up as your means, knowledge, and time allow. I can barely afford to do it for a couple months lol.
3:53. Just wow. That unworldly storm is stunningly beautiful.
A few things at the end just really were gorgeous. Like that rainbow crossing the strom and you reuniting with your pup.
Thanx for taking me along through your vids...
Beautiful videos! Thank you for sharing!
Awesome!! You had some beautiful structures in there!
Great video man! I definitely recognize a lot of those storms. You had a solid year of chasing 👏
You had great year good buddy! Glad we were able to crush Clovis-fest together!
Yeah man even though it was a grind it ended up being one of my favorite moments of the year. Let’s just pretend that I didn’t leave the Encino storm 1 hr before it produced lmao
Most beautiful power's of nature. ❤
Fantastic video!! Very well done!
Great Video ! I love the pace and the naration you real have a feeling for taking your viewers on your journey you had in 2023
You got some AMAZING footage! Well done! Great video
Instant sub, I'm at a loss for words. Thank you so much for sharing these indescribable moments!
Amazing video once again!!! 🔥🔥🔥 keep it up bud
Another AMAZING video Celton! Keep up the awesome work man 😊
What a year. can’t wait to see what’s to come.
This was awesome! It's very cool to see people doing things like this.
Outstanding. Absurdly outstanding. North America is absolutely beautiful and stunning never fails to amaze. From coast to coast so many different climates and weather patterns.
Stumbles across one of your videos last night. From what I have watched (3 videos), I’m liking what I see. Keep up the good work
Had to subscribe. Can't wait for 2024 season.
Wow. You got some amazing footage. The Supercell and lightning time lapses are brilliant 😀
0:52 beautiful Lighting background by the Chevron Station back in 2017 when a thunderstorm hit California I was by an ARCO station at night love the Colors of the station at night
Well done mate 👏 great footage and well edited package 👌
That truck around 5:08 really gave me Final Destination vibes...
Amazing footage, such beautiful storms ❤
The ending got me emotional, man.
Respect. Very cool.
Best video on RUclips💯 thanks for showing all of US this.
Incredible footage!
I'm so envious and jealous it's not even funny. I'm 49 yrs old today and I have always had the dream of being financially stable enough at some point that I could quit my job that I've been at for 22 yrs now and chase storms even if it were for just a few weeks. I've yet to to accomplish that goal and since becoming a single parent and raising my son by myself I'm beginning to come to the realization that it may never happen. But being there for my son and the gift I was given I wouldn't trade for anything. So I will live vicariously thru your vids and others like you. Thanks for putting together one hell of a visual for all of us weather geeks!
One day I hope to see you out there.
Beautiful work man.
Great video man! Very nice timelapses, photo's and storytelling also! Greets from (a stormchaser from) The Netherlands!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful work!!!! I'm in love. ❤
Thank you for your story!
Great work!
Your pictures are just beautiful! Thank you for sharing them.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent, incredible, phenomenal. Love the editing. Epic work dude!
Thanks man. Wasn’t expecting to end my year with a significant tornado in Florida of all places lol.
This is one of the best weather related videos I have ever seen. This disserves millions of views. Great Job on the editing, it was perfectly done! You earned a subscriber with this one.
Great video! Hope you are safe and successful in 2024!
Thank you!
Impressive shots brother. National geographic man!!!!!!!
Really amazing footage 👏😊 Love the pup at the end lol 🦮
Great work!! Puts my season to shame :)
love how cinematic this video is :D
Great video :)
Very Cool
Your channel was on my front page. I watched a few more videos and wow. I am glad I subscribed.
Great stuff, as always 👍
Thanks again!
Beautiful captures 👌
That’s the most beautiful footage I’ve ever seen about storm chasing continue like that dude
Thank you! That means a lot, I like many storm chasers enjoy the experience of seeing these phenomena in person but for me I love to capture them in a fun and cinematic way that helps the viewer understand just how beautiful these storms can be. I tried to show that dichotomy of severe weather being destructive and deadly but also being incredibly beautiful.
Wonderful footage dude. Love it! Great job. 🔥
Wow, Celton this is phenomenal . Your lightning and sprite videos and photographs are amongst the best I've seen. Your presentation in this video is wonderful, very professional. I really enjoyed this gift. Thank you, I'm saving this video. PS, the Hank cameo was fun.
great video, thank you
Glad you liked it!
I can’t believe you,this is amazinh
Great video.
this was an instant sub from me! congratykatuibs!
Really cool video dude. Makes me want to do a chase-cation!
Epic video dawg
Youre really underrated my guy, just know that we still love you and your content
I’ve been a severe storm nerd ever since surviving a direct hit from Hurricane Andrew in 1992 (I was 11) and have seen just about every good content creator / chaser in this community. I can honestly say you are deserving of 10x the audience!
Your blend of documentary style story telling with inlaid graphics of radar and other cool info weather stuff at the same time is super cool. You also have an amazing eye for photos / video ( this is coming from a 20yr professional photographer).
Just can’t say enough good things about your channel, glad the algorithm recommended it to me after this latest Tornado binge watching session 😂
Welcome aboard and thank you for the kind words!
Your shots of the sprites are incredible
Thank you! Sprites and other TLEs are definitely one of my favorite things to capture and I’ve worked extremely hard to figure out how to catch them so it means a lot to hear someone appreciate my work.
Hey! I am new to your channel and when I came across your new video and it was amazing Celton! A job well done with this video!
Thank you! I’ve got quite a bit of stuff on here now but I’ve really made an effort to ramp up the quality of these videos in the last year or so. Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing
I love Thales sarcasm with the tornado alarm
You're an underrated storm chaser on my youtube recommendations! I love it!!! subbed..
thanks you!
amazing!
THIS IS SICK
U took unbelievable photo and video i really like thoundeshower Strom and time lapse
Great ! 👍
These are the best images of supercell activity I’ve ever seen.
I just forwarded them to my friend at NOAA with the suggestion he adds some of these timelapses to the SKYWARN class.
Love it
Impressive man. Keep it up. Tell me you sell photos I can frame and hang or maybe a calendar. You could do a whole book of your adventures with pictures. Seriously keep it up and remember safe save.
Hell yeah
Wow!!😳😱🤯⛈🌪
The images you capture of these storms is absolutely incredibleeee BUT there is no way I would be able to describe them as beautiful & amazing at the time!! I would be screaming in fear, saying a lot of not so pretty words🫣😅
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! You & Chris are very brave!
I could neverrrrrr!!!
That must have been some amazing photographs.
Your footage and Timelapse’s are absolutely beautiful, I hope to be able to capture storm footage like this one day! Great job!! Also, what camera do you use?
Sony A7S2 Sony A7R2 and a Nikon D7000. Also a Mavic Air 2 for my drone.
Your channel is SO underrated
Thank you! I put a ton of work into these videos so that means a lot
Bro do you get still photos of these light.... nevermind. I got to the point in the video where all the photos came up. Awesome stuff dude!
Cant even begin to stress... Oklahoma last storm season we had quite a bit of late night between 10pm up to 3am storms with tornados. I work nightshift and am outside by my self every single night on county dirt roads and dirt lots. Its pretty scary being out there in middle of nowhere by yourself late at night and cant see these things.
Thanks for sharing! Some beautiful sightings! You should stop by south eastern Wisconsin, just east past Delevan.. it's because of all the touchdowns there that I'm always cowering in my basement. Thankfully, no matter how many times they touch down over there, they seem to dissipate before reaching me in j-ville.
I don't think I've chased in Wisconsin yet but I'm sure I'll find myself nearby at some point.
I live in matador tx. We got hit june 21 2023. I love your videos, I was watching thinking you caught this one but you got some great video of amazing storms
Yeah that tornado happened a few days after I had to return to Florida, definitely a scary day.
Wow
Those sprites were amazing. Given number and prominence of the ones that you have documented and that others have documented. How is it that this is a recently discovered phenomenon?
Thank you, I work super hard to forecast when they are likely to occur. As far as why they were only discovered recently, they occur high above powerful thunderstorms where not many people are looking and it was only in the last 30 years or so that light sensitivity for cameras became good enough to catch them and only recently in the early 2010s that consumer grade DSLR and Mirrorless cameras became good enough and cheap enough for every day people like myself to capture them under the right conditions and with the right knowledge. With that said though, you can sometimes see them with the naked eye and pilots in particular have been reporting strange red flashes above thunderstorms for decades now, it just wasn't until fairly recently that we confirmed their existence.
One moment nobody heard of those Red flashes above thunderstorms. And the next you can't go without it in basically every video out there xD
This was an incredible video, great work. I have to ask, what camera do you use for the night lapses of the storms?
I use 3 different ones, my Sony A7S2 is my primary video camera and it’s what I use for the sprites and night time lightning video.
For stills I use two different ones, a Nikon D7000 for things I can get away with lower resolution and worse low light sensitivity (this camera is quite old now) and a Sony A7R2 for my higher resolution and lower light photos.
@@CeltonHenderson thank you for the in depth explanation, this was much appreciated.
Keep up the good work guys, great video,s.i,m jealouse as hell. I live in Zandeweer the Netherlands, sometimes a thunderstorm.but that’s it😂
me rocking back and fourth in my chair "lightning never strikes the same place twice.... lightning never strikes the same place twice... lightning never strikes the same place twice..."
So crazy that of all the places you were, you were in person up close to the one that rolled up into Dunedin, I live pretty close to there and stayed up watching those storms
Yup, I lived pretty close to that area at the time so it was definitely odd to see my final tornado of the year close to home after traveling for over 20k miles chasing them earlier in the year.
Wanted to also mention how incredibly lucky that area got with that tornado weakening as it came on shore. It was likely EF3+ while it was out over the water and I really thought I was about to watch something terrible happen right in front of me. Thank god it weakened.
@@CeltonHenderson so very true, a lot of retirement mobile home communities right up the road from there, let alone Pinellas is just super populated. But yea it was definitely strong off shore.
I can agree twisters are pretty but deadly. I had 2 incidents where twisters landed in nearby towns. I didn't hit me though.
what camera did u use for such amazing footage?
