never thought about plopping with a tee shirt at night. usually only plop for styling. Trying it tonight and hopefully i preserve these curls cause i’m having an amazing hair day today! lol
Thank you for this video! Your curls and hair are pretty much exactly like mine & I only recently started working out how to bring out the natural curls, so it's nice to have a good reference for what can work!
Be careful having anything on your hairline for sleeping I’ve had hair loss on my hair line from sleeping with a silk bonnet. Suggest moving it back away from the actual hair line and temples
I use a scarf. Tie it in the back so that the front is covered and its super loose, no tension or anything. Will i stilll be prone to hair loss in the hairline?
thank you for getting right to it and actually demonstrating! so helpful! You also helped me overcome my anxiety about touching my hair in fear of messing up my curls. Seeing you do it with your curls staying intact was very encouraging !
I'm going try the plopping again. Started clipping it up in sections which works great , but my scalp is very sore in the mornings and I am prone to headaches. Glad it's the clips and not migraine tho. Might have to invest in a silk scarf too. Thanks for this video. And it is for ALL curly girls, not just the african culture. My goodness, people!
This comment is underrated. Thank you for saying the thing about plopping. I really wanna do that, as it looks the most comfortable, and I’m just starting off my journey. (I’m 13) But the most lonely feeling in the world is when you find a great video on RUclips, but all the comments are years ago. Those people moved on with their lives, and most likely aren’t gonna notice you😭😭
@@ShymmyShimmyAyShimmyAyShimmyAh hiii! im the same age as you and also just starting to try to figure out my hair. do you have any tips for reducing frizz? my hair gets frizzy really easily(although, it may just be the humidity where i live)

When I do the pineapple, my hair falls out because the scrunchie isn’t tight enough and if I twist it twice, my hair is poofy in the morning. A bun doesn’t work because then my hair unravels. And the pineapple also makes my curls unravel. I need help!
no matter what i try they always get ruined and i gotta fully refresh the next day 😭 my hair is pretty thin and most of it just gets smashed, especially my roots
I fell asleep once with a t shirt on after showering. Woke up middle of the night accepting a possible messed up due in the morning. Hair actually looked great

@@Music-oj1xt actually hair wrapping is used all over the world and does not just originate from the black community but also central america and latinos that have been doing it not just from seeing people from the black community hair wrapping but doing it to keep hair out of their face and protect their hair. and it is not just people that come from those areas but if you go around the world you might just have to get mad at everyone for “cultural appropriation” because sure hair wraps are popular in the black community but you will find that people have been doing this because it is efficient and not because they saw people of in the black community doing it. but of course there is cultural appropriation in this world but i dont see this as a problem and why she should have taken a moment to credit ANYONE in general. i think the intentions of this video were to help ANYONE that has textured hair and not to claim anything. all love though ❤
I don’t agree, Afro hair and curly hair both need protecting when sleeping. This girl’s just sharing knowledge she’s gained from her experience with her own hair type. Personally I’d sleep with a bin bag on my head if it helped with frizz I certainly don’t think I shouldn’t be wearing a silk scarf because I’m not black 🤦🏻♀️😂

This was a really good video. I want to try the wrapping ones because everytime I tie my hair, my curls stretch out.
I cant do that pineapple one my hair will stay the shape that i put it lol

Finally someone, that didn’t comment years ago! I’m trying out the plopping tonight
French braids or any braids will just make your hair wavy though.
Yeah but that’s definitely not great for keeping the curl, it just flattens and frizzes my hair
your hair is stunning, my dream hair! thank you for these tips!
you've got gorgeous hair. question: how can you keep the ends from frizzing? It looks comfy in the t shirt. thx

Great video!
This was very helpful, thank you!
I love your accent! Where are you from? Great tips by the way!
I have school and the morning so I’m praying this pineapple style does not frizz my hair up

My hair always stays the way I put it and I have to wet it and do through all this effort to have it nice curly why is it so hard
but when i tie my hair my hair has a crease cause its so boring

So here’s the deal my hair could be really nice and curly when I go to sleep it’s dirty greasy and ugly and flat again :/

A black women shouldve been in this video giving these tips. These tips are originated from OUR culture and should be respected and presented that way
I completely agree! It's something I wonder about as a white woman--can I sleep in a silk scarf or is that appropriation?
I also agree that the bantu knots should not have been included in this video--not appropriate for non black people
