3 things I learned from this exchange.
1. Ice Spice used CleoTrapa but she didn’t realize it till it was too late.
2. CleoTrapa needs a better management team and to step it up with her monthly listeners.
3. Nicki Minaj paying Ice Spice dust publicly without addressing anything was very smart. Let everything unfold naturally so people can make their own conclusions about the type of person she is! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
What does cleo management and monthly listeners have to do with this situation? Ice clearly told her she couldn't bring anyone otherwise she'd of brought her team. She said she didn't really gaf about being paid she already figured that wasn't gonna happen but she went anyway cause she thought she was her friend. Her getting paid was never the issue it was how she was being treated. So I'm confused how her management and listeners correlate in this situation

Cleo has money, but she learned the things she would have to pay for were outside of her budget… for instance in tour for a month and every hotel is 5 stars… that an be anywhere from $300+ a night.
The thing was she was excluded from a lot of things, if she was informed she could have found her own way of eating and maybe separate hotel. She Was even willing to pay the security for the bag stuff and that was a problem

Cleo wasn’t able to get it together because she simply did not have the adequate amount of time to prepare . She had one day to come up with full accommodation for a whole tour . No time to rehearse, prepare nothing . I 100% believe her that Ice used her to clean up her PR mess. She never wanted her there but she needed her there for optics. Cleo wasn’t even able to fully utilize the whole opportunity because she was working on an empty stomach and a dream lol an opportunity isn’t throwing someone a dog bone and telling them to make sushi out of it. An opportunity is giving her the chance to come in and put her best foot forward to show what she got. The best thing that came from this is Cleo got a hard learning lesson. She will be wiser going forward . Now she knows what not to do

Cleo got mad because ice said it was a flat rate payment. She basically let her know like hey girl, it’ll be high, not an hourly or event by event thing. Ice was saying he’d have to be paid more because it’d be two different clients, not because an hourly rate would change. Cleo said she ended the convo because she thought ice didn’t know what flat rate meant . She got annoyed. She didn’t even ask what the rate was so she could ask to pay the guy herself because she felt like ice should’ve made him do it. But to him, he doesn’t work for Cleo. He is to only care for Ice and guard Ice. He is not Cleo’s security so he wasn’t on her time. Is Cleo wasn’t ready to leave until after ice and ice was sitting in the car ready to go waiting for Cleo to finish whatever she was doing, the guard has to be with Ice. She’s outside and there were fans out there as Cleo said…. Why would he leave Ice to go be with Cleo ? That’s what ice was trying to explain, but again because of HOW Cleo came at her she had an attitude back. Like imagine talk are in a rush and you’re naked in the shower and someone barges in to confront you on why your guard didn’t leave you outside to go get her things….No one can say Cleo came respectfully because she said in her clips that she was upset and embarrassed and felt like she had to say something right then. So she was emotional and also said she was trying to keep from punching her….. That’s how the industry works. The backup dancers don’t get treated like Beyoncé. I did background/ extra work when I first moved to LA. We were treated like furniture sometimes & no we didn’t have access to the trailers the celebrities had.

You could tell she was hurt she started off crying and tried to talk to her about it but Ice belittled her. You know she really was on some messed up stuff when Ice even left her makeup artist and stylist behind b/c they made friends with Cleo. I believe everything Cleo said and what her ex best friend Stormi said about Ice treating her bad and we seen the messages to prove it anyway.
I love Cleo down but where was the contract? Just because your friend invited on tour last minute doesn’t mean you just jump, business is business. She also should’ve looped in her team and ran it by them. That was her first mistake.

Cleopatra, in my opinion did not want to be treated like Ice but she just wanted clarity and direction since this is her first tour and she only had 1 day to prepare. She wanted to be treated fairly.. that’s it… Ice Spice was wrong… Period.

Cleo was not using her for her platform… you asked her to come last minute and agreed to accommodate her. Cleo being a grown woman asked you what would she need to pay for and you said “she was with you”. The girl even asked can I pay the security more money to get her bags… if anybody was accommodating it was Cleo.
In the regular world we have internships that go exactly like this. You’re supposed to take crap because you need the hours and experience. Also, people love to invite you places only to treat you like ish. It is mean girl or man behavior. Go on tour by yourself.

I agrees /w you. Cleo was entitled cuz she was “ friend”. She got to go on tour and open for a currently big act. Ice exposed her to more audiences for free. I don’t know anyone that knows Cleo music. I’m not trying to minimize Cleo but u know how many up n coming artist would kill for that spot & she got it off the strength of friendship. Sometimes blessings don’t fully make sense or display in the way we think it should. I think a lot of issues come down to management & sometimes saying no means you’re going to miss out. A days notice she should have declined but even Cleo knew ain’t nobody about to ask her to open or tour in general so she took a chance. unfortunately the tour was about spice and her treatment was based on status and cutting a check- so yes Cleo go pick up your bag, no one is checking for you Cleo & your performing at 7…sis enjoy the ride. This is a learning lesson.

I, myself had a disgusting friend fallout at the beginning of August...it was horrible and truly one of the worst friend breakups I've ever experienced. Thankfully I beat that ass before I ended things, but it hurt because realizing somebody actually HATES you, but likes the image you give them, when you really love that person, is a painful realization. I keep going back and forth and seeing both sides of it also. This is why communication is so important. They don’t have the same perspective of a friendship. On one hand Cleo said they were never BEST FRIENDS, but it sounds like she was expected to be on tour with her as a best friend. In Ice’s mind, they were on tour as colleagues. And I think when Ice said “you good you gone be with me” she meant you don’t have to pay for anything not necessary that she would literally be with her the whole time. Why Ice didn’t end up paying for everything is a mystery to me. Maybe she changed her mind and felt like Cleo should offer to pay for something in exchange for the opportunity. Ice definitely needs to communicate better.
