I wander if the Coaches ever have a meeting with themselves on what is going on. We as fans can see what's happening. They should be able to figure it out. Imagine how much better the Coordinator's would be if they literally informed each other of all of their flaws in their play calls and personnel. Bringing NIck Emmanwori down in coverage against Pearsal was a terrible decision and it also costed us the game. NIck's strength is being able to read a defense and then making a move which is why he is a pure safety. He can't do that lined up like a CB. He's also still not at top speed because of that hamstring injury in week one. I like Clayton White but this defense even though young and not at full strength is not it. Most of them look lost and don't play with instincts. The secondary is always in reaction mode and when we are blitzing there is never anyone in the middle of the field to stop the quick slant or roll out. I think Clayton is gone at the end of the year.
At this point i feel bad for spencer rattler. Hes wasting his talents and his final college season on this team that cant hold it together. Last night was a rough loss. As an alumni it is hard to make this statement. I'm done with gamecock football. life is too short to hinge my mood on a team full of inept children. Humans have two of these things we call "arms". They are standard equipment on most models. You are suppose to wrap them around the opponent while tackling them. We are in the SEC, should have multiple running backs on the team even with marshawn loyd transferred who highlight was against Kentucky by the way but that’s a different convo. Anderson is a natural running back and has been tremendous, why the hell did it take our coaches 4 games to notice. We should not be in a position to have to get a transfer from newberry. Glad we did but we should’ve had multiple SEC level RB on the team. That’s what I’m saying.
