@@TastyPotty it was incredibly well received at the time. I think most people then understood that making a proper Chrono Trigger 2 was impossible. That team was kind of a supergroup that all worked at different companies by the time CT was in development. CC actually does build off the themes of Chrono Trigger and is a legitimate continuation of the story. More importantly it was a high profile project to put the extremely talented Xenogears team on after they had to shove that game out the door way too quickly.
@@TastyPotty no, people expect a direct sequels with a rehash of characters and places. It does a fine job of having enough connective tissue and doing its own thing. I like that its not doing the BS Marvel or Hollywood sequelization

Man, absolutely loving this CC stuff. Cross easily ranks in my top 5 best VG OSTs, not a bad track on the entire game. Especially the boss tracks, hope you do FATE at some point as well.
