      Thank you for the kind words. It is the perfect balance of a modern motorcycle in retro styling. It is a classic in all but name.

    I also like the yellow and blue bike over the others, and I think I'll buy one "if" there is already provision on the lower yoke for a high mudguard because I've set my heart on that idea, and I think the white high mudguard on the 2023 Fantic Caballero Rally would finish the look off perfectly. We shall see!!

      Sounds like a good plan. Lots of customisation potential with Royal Enfield Bikes.

    The bear 650 is the most beautiful bike out right now, and for $7k new!!! It's a near perfect bike, minus not having cruise control. I'm planning on getting the new moto guzzi v7 sport, but man I'm gonna try and get the bear 650 too. It's full of character and just pleasant bike and downright gorgeous.

      Yeah the price is great! I had this on my shortlist, but I always keep an eye on Facebook marketplace for a good deal for used bikes too. Ended up finding a Triumph Scrambler 900 for 6,500 bucks so I couldn’t pass that up. Brand new though for 7k, the Bear is awesome!

    You echo my thoughts. I'm so pleased with mine it's just a shame RE took so long to bring it to market.

    Totally agree with you regarding there being a problem. I ride a Scram 411 , and a Honda NC750 , intending buying another RE. But which one. Aesthetically , I really like the Hunter 350 , but wait a moment I also like the Interceptor. I'd intended buying a low mileage Himmi 411, to sit along side my Scram, but then the Scram 440 gets announced. And then of course we have the Bear, wow.
    I've test ridden the Guarilia and the Himalayan 450, but not really my cup of tea, I like the character and soul of the air cooled engines.
    Royal Enfield do make it bloody difficult, lol.

    • @betterthanisound
      @betterthanisound  6 часов назад

      You have some nice bikes there. It'll be interesting to see the Scram 440. I think the Himi 411 is going to be a much sought-after bike in years to come, what it lacks in raw power, it more than makes up for in character. It has already earned a special place in the hearts of many of its owners.

    • @tonyelse3137
      @tonyelse3137 5 часов назад

      @@betterthanisound Yes I agree with you about the Himi 411, hence my thought about buying one, even if I don't put it on the road for the time being.
      For the past 25 years I have only ridden FJ1200's , but I turn 66 this year and the FJ is just too heavy for me, so sold the one I was riding

      @betterthanisound  2 часа назад +1

      @@motorcyclistfromholland8856 Yes, The BMW is a great bike, but you could buy 3-4 Royal Enfields for the Price of a BMW, and I am not sure The BMW would be 3 to 4 times better. But if you have the money, it's a great choice.

    I think the Classic 650 is the most stunning RE The colours of them are eye-popping. The Classic 350 and Meteor 350 are great looking bikes too. Not so keen on the Bear. Choices, eh?! Ride safe.

      Can easily swap the interceptor tanks over.

  • @onenoodles

    Looks lovely ... having had an Interceptor then I am wondering if they have sorted out the cutting out / non starting glitches that were more common that many might admit ... the stupid placement of the starter solenoid that can fail and you have to remove the rear wheel, cover, battery tray just to reach it and its where it gets covered in dirt and rain ... the relays that fail ... the starter switch that fails. They are niggles that can get sorted but left me with doubts about getting home when out riding ... shame because its looks great and if the Bear has those daft niggles sorted then they are on a real winner

    Seriously thinking about getting a bear as a runabout, it would definitely have to be the yellow one.

    Ah, saw you out on the roads in my neck of the woods. Loving the bike but think that colour scheme is the least fun.
    Great review 😁

    I think Enfield is keeping its choice of styles and colour schemes wide, but keeping 3 good power plants.
    650, 350 for those of us with a love of air-cooled soul and character old school.
    And the 450 which is really put together well and the more modern LC .
    I prefer the Guerilla over the Himmy.
    But that's just my taste.

    • @betterthanisound
      @betterthanisound  3 часа назад

      Yes, a good take. I've ridden the Himmy 450 and loved it. I've not ridden the Guerrilla 450 yet but heard nothing but good things about it.

    I have been waiting for this scrambler...i tried the INT650 and Hunter and they didnt fit me odd tire size other issues. Im glad i waited. I have yet to see the colourways in person but it seems the Bear 650 is an improved Interceptor 650. I owned a Triumph 400X and put 14k on it but I dont love it. It wants to be revved hard. I want a mellow torquey bike. i love that 650 twin engine.
    Colours are tough but the Boardwalk white and Wild Honey are the most appealling to me. They look that era. I got my first bike in 78 so i saw a bit of that era. The black is very nice but too stodgy. I had the Green TRiumph 400X and it looked great but at this point id also take a bright colour and the blue seat is a very nice tough. Pretty much a custom bike for a great price. If i have to change the shocks to YSS thats ok i can live with that.
    Thanks for the video

      Thanks for the kind words. I think it might be worth you visiting your dealer to take a look at the Bear 650 if you were close to liking the Interceptor, this might be the bike you are looking for.

      @@victormonteiro2113 Two very different bikes, one with a heritage as a cafe racer, the other as a scrambler. Engine wise, twins! Both have style, grace and plenty of panache.

    Hi! If you had to choose only only one bike as your only transporting and all around vehicle, which will you pick between the Bear and the Himalayan 450?

    • @betterthanisound
      @betterthanisound  6 часов назад +1

      I would be happy with either. As the Himalayan starts at around a grand less than a Bear, I'd suggest the Himalayan is better value. But if you are more into beauty, retro looks, and love a twin, then it needs to be the Bear.
