That speed at which Rainey was taking that double-right downhill corner in full slide was insane! He rode around the outside of his opponents there. Just as insane as Schwantz braking 30 meters later than anyone else before the chicane. Their duels were the best there ever was in motorbike racing for me. On a good day, they rode on a level that was beyond understanding :)
So good to watch this here, as in my younger years I couldn´t watch, but always loved the 500 2 strokes so much - until today! The sound, the smell, the aggressive move up of the rpm needle and the cigarettes box paint with the big start numbers, the clear and easy shapes of the fairings and last but not least the fabulous riders!

This looks more like a tribute to Schwantz!! How much faster are all the other bikes? They always pass him on the straights. And how does he keep up with them!!! He's the one!

man i enjoy motogp, but compared to this it sucks ass, the world wanted good racing? here it is, the modern 250 series is possibly the best 2 wheeled racing in the world and yes its going in order to fuel the world domination by honda motor corperation.
Could u possibly IMAGINE what it would be like to have a Moto Gp race back at Suzuka?? Holy shit- I realize it's not the safest track out there, but the track owner (HONDA) DEFINITELY has the funds and means to add the necessary runoff to make it safe again- Just ask LORI CAPIROSSI (Moto GP rider rep) how much he enjoyed racing at that place back in the day - he won't deny it - Motegi is a great track, but it doesn't and will NEVER come close to Suzuka

Watching this in 2019. Nothing’s changed. Honda is the fastest, Suzuki best turning bike and Yamaha has best overall package.

Honda is the company that pushes 4 strokes the hardest, always have. Honda is a bigger company than Yamaha. It has much more influence on the market.
