@@fatimabakhsh4503 you should be able to watch all of them on BBC Iplayer. If you just type “Our Girl” in it go on catch-up it should be there. If it isn’t try Amazon TV or something

@@toasty8547 I think the writers said that the UK pulling out of Afghanistan coincided with the end of the show. Still tho, this series of Our Girl made it seem like the British are out there fighting more instead of training

In addition, someone who joins the military at a young age usually has an idea of what he wants to do with his life, at least for the next few years. The undecided, on the other hand, stay in school or college a bit longer or just do what their parents or friends are suggesting them to do.
A young volunteer for the army also needs to have a bit of dedication. There will be his parents, teachers, and friends who will try to talk him out of his plans, especially in wartimes.
For young people, the military is an adventure. There are things in life, you better do when you're still a bit naive and haven't thought too much about the consequences. War is one of those things.
Anyway, after a few weeks in combat, you’ll probably have matured more than during your last five years in high school.
For us, the age of a soldier was never a topic of discussion on the frontlines. With one exception: we sometimes made fun of the old guys, the “grandpas”, the ones that were over thirty.
Therefore, a little piece of advice: join the army when you’re young.

Colour Sergeant is the rank above Sergeant. They are referring to him by rank. Nothing to do with race/ethnicity.

I'm still tripping on half the cast portraying American soldiers on 'Band of Brothers' were English. Learning to speak American must have been a challenge. At S02E1 wedding, no idea who these people are...
Hope Captain James isn't in it. Last series butchered his character.

I’m very disappointed with the bbc, the actress as obviously got lip injections which are escaping her lip borders and are very distracting. A list Hollywood actresses never get Botox and fillers because it takes away from the actresses emotional expression and authenticity and performance. You need to stay true to the character. And she’s now playing a period piece, representing a woman in the time that lip fillers didnt even exist!
