We need more skilled workers like this, just amazing. You can tell they put their years of experience into each shoe.

I really don't care for brands at all but being a tailor in training I know that even if it's done by the same people the outcome can be very different. It all lays in the detail and care that's put into each step. Also the quality of the leather can be very different. Still, nice work!

Got my first pair of shoes today and wow! Love it! I appreciate the work on it. Will start my collection soon. I love how it’s great quality but with a easy price tag and no tacky big logo.

You have a great point that everyone states they are a direct to consumer and everything is made in Italy. But, like anything, not all direct to consumers are equal. I have a pair of sneakers from mgemi and have found them to of great quality.

With designer brands you are paying for a name; the name of someone who probably did not design the product and might even be dead! There is a lot of exploitation in the designer world as well, lots of fashion houses are propped up by interns who are not paid fairly.
I would rather buy from somewhere I know a good chunk of the money is going to the people who make the product. The system in the video is great- consumers are getting a quality product at a reasonable price, and heritage shoemaking skills are being kept alive.
My only question is what are the benefits of cutting the leather by hand rather than machine? Does it mean that more of the leather can be used or give a high quality edge? It seems unnecessary.
