I started deconverting a short while ago, and it is both a relief and an anguishing experience at times. It's really shaken up the worldview I had and envisioned myself following for the rest of my life. I didn’t realize how deep indoctrination runs. I dread the day my family will eventually learn of it, as they won't take it with understanding.
The family aspect might be the worst. I am still role-playing, not 100% but still 😂 The constant Jesus this, Jesus that and all the judgmental bs is so damn infuriating when you want to protect yourself and even them. Take care mate, it's a weird journey out of this cult like mentality.

You are most welcome. You speak with such passion and conviction. True, you can be viewed as a wee bit angry, and I get that. I have never forgotten when I first started my journey with this. I remember reading The Christ Conspiracy and being quite angry - not because its author was spewing such blasphemy, but because I realized she wasn’t kidding; she was dead serious. I, and everyone else, had been lied to. It can be most frustrating, but take great comfort in knowing you are not alone.
This is a great summary of both the seemingly infinite problems within Christianity as well as the tremendous work you have done. I appreciate you at such a fundamental level and I cannot thank you enough for what you do with your voice and your platform. I went from being an angry atheist to an empowered and level-headed member of my community because of your content. And I didn't need Jesus or the Bible or any of that to do it. Thank you, Brandon. His work (in addition to hundreds of other factors) has helped me become more loving and kind. In what way is this a cult? I do not worship him or his views in any way. In fact, as I stated, this video acts as a very quick overview of his work. He has videos dedicated to most of these points so I consumed this video with those other videos in the back of my mind. By exaggerating one point in an obviously nonsensical and fantastical way, I can pull more attention to the main point of my comment which was to point out that this video was a great summation of Brandon's work. If you don't watch Brandon's content regularly, I wouldn't expect my comment to mean much to you as it was more for Brandon and his fans. I have had other Christians say the same stuff on other comments I've made. They often pick apart hyperbolic or metaphorical language that doesn't have much to do with the point I'm making and then say that I'm wrong or deranged. However, I will meet you at your level as I value you greatly. Ex-theists make for the most knowledgeable atheists regarding belief. As an atheist (we never used that term) who was raised by loving, rational parents that NEVER discussed the concept of god during my childhood, I was blown away about what religion actually prescribes and takes as "truth" as I matured. 😂, I remember when 16 years old, we had a weekend seminar at school about cults and dangerous sekts. It was held by a pastor. My first comment was....thats like a anti drug seminar held by the local brewery. He was not amused....
5 years ago this list would have sickened me. now i realize how clueless i was. i don't know what's worse, a Christian who will believe whatever they are told about the Bible without looking it up to confirm it for themselves, or a Christian who actually does read their Bible every day and still chooses to believe in it despite how many questionable things that are in it that they just choose to ignore or justify.
Tbh all the questions are a little silly, Like the pharaoh Hardened heart,that verse is not saying God made his heart to be Hardened, it's saying he allowed it to happen, he allowed it to be Hardened.. we're not getting smarter, asking these questions.. The Ark of the Covenant, by its construction, acts like a capacitor battery. That is why God ordained it should only be moved by walking it by it's staffs keeping it grounded. When David wanted to bring the Ark to Jerusalem they put it on a cart with iron wheels that, when spun past the Ark in it's hold, charged up the capacitor Ark like a generator- cause it wasn't grounded. When the priest touched the charged up Ark the priest became the grounding and all that stored up electricity passed through him electrocuting him to death... Because God's ordinance to only carry the Ark by its staffs was disobeyed. I could explain away all your 300 criticisms.

And I want to say that I really appreciate that. I personally believe in some irrational things and there're many others that I admit might be true. But I feel very comfortable watching this channel cause here I don't feel that I'm being forced to let go of any of my beliefs or that I'm dumb if I believe something irrational. Christians have their excuses for every single one of these. But the fact that they have to make endless excuses to legitimize their religion is itself strong evidence against the claim that a perfect god is behind it.

So happy to have been with you since the conception of this channel. I haven’t missed a single video and can honestly say I have learned something from each and every one! My goal IS to deconversion everyone. The world would be a more just and compassionate place without lies, dogma, and prejudice. The only good thing about Trump is that the end result will be more people leaving mythology and lies behind has they are enlightened by his failures and the harm he is doing.
Again, you keep getting better and better at this. I would think you already went over the low hanging fruit, the most glaring problems of christianity, but instead your arguments get clearer and clearer and more undeniable every time. Your knowledge of the Bible and your ability to compare different parts and point out the most painful and humiliating shortcomings is astonishing.

An underrated one is God commanding the Israelites not to eat hares despite them chewing the cud as he likes even though…they don’t in fact chew the cud. Explain logic without God! That is, how do you have a fixed set of logic rules that every person 'should' subscribe to? For example, what about when a suicide bomber is the hero of the village? A woman blows up a bus filled with commuters - and you cannot even call that 'evil,' can you? Word to the wise, if you die in your amorality, you will suffer in eternity. It is the law of cause-and-effect! If you have lied and stolen, know that you are not fit for heaven. Yet, Christ died on a Cross so that you may know logic! Atheism is insanity! it was definitely a terrifying experience, but for me, once i got through that period it's SO MUCH BETTER on the other side!

The Ark of the Covenant, by its construction, acts like a capacitor battery. That is why God ordained it should only be moved by walking it by it's staffs keeping it grounded. When David wanted to bring the Ark to Jerusalem they put it on a cart with iron wheels that, when spun past the Ark in it's hold, charged up the capacitor Ark like a generator- cause it wasn't grounded. When the priest touched the charged up Ark the priest became the grounding and all that stored up electricity passed through him electrocuting him to death...
Because God's ordinance to only carry the Ark by its staffs was disobeyed.

I think it's interesting that you mentioned that you're not trying to deconvert the whole world or make people not to believe in anything whatsoever. And I want to say that I really appreciate that. I personally believe in some irrational things and there're many others that I admit might be true. But I feel very comfortable watching this channel cause here I don't feel that I'm being forced to let go of any of my beliefs or that I'm dumb if I believe something irrational. We all here can have different beliefs and still feel respected! I think it's awesome.
