Appreciate you making and uploading this. Had to help a friend change one today. Seems like all the car companies are in a contest for most intricate battery replacement.

Yeah Dave, I thought changing a battery, I don’t know about that, but as usual you made it very awesome and enjoyable, it entertained me for about four oil deliveries, hey can’t beat that, talk to you soon my friend 😀😀

I fight the lighting issues too. All my plug in lights I've ripped the hooks off, so if the magnet doesn't work, im in the dark. So I bought a magnet light, small with batteries, and the batteries last about 2 hours, so I bought a second one. But, with new cars being made of plastic, the lights are hard to stick on. That Riviera I worked on had the battery under the rear seat, and so big you cannot lift it. With car batteries having so much less lead in them, they do not last as long, so you would think they would make it easier to remove and replace. I guess not. Nice video Dave. Thanks

Looks like Ford had a battery and built a car around it. Nice job getting it done. 💯🆒

My Son’s F150 is the same, ya gotta crawl underneath to find the trans dip stick , 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you pull the motor and trans, there will be a lot more room to get the battery out..lol.. I guess that's one that Auto Zone won't touch.. I had to replace the battery in my moms 04 Buick.. it was under the back seat and was over 10 years old... I couldn't believe that a battery could last that long.. Dave you have a good one my friend and God Bless...

Ain't it crazy how things are put together these days? I remember a day when a battery change could be about a 15 minute job -- having the battery right out there where it can be seen as soon as the hood is opened. To change the battery in my chevy silverado I had to remove a cross brace, a battery cover, a tray over the battery with about 4 cables connected, then remove bolts holding the coolant overflow reservoir so it could be moved aside. Whoever decides how things should be built apparently has no concern for those who have to deal with faulty components later on. I know there are some things on vehicles where the mechanic has to remove a whole lot of stuff just to get to the part that needs fixed. The labor cost could be about 5 times (maybe more) more than the art that needs fixed or replaced. I have some of the same gripes about how some riding lawn mowers are constructed. One thing that always blew my gasket was when I'm assembling something, following the directions with step 1,2,3 etc. Then when you get to step 5 or 6, they tell you to do something before completing step 2 or 3. It's all nuts! Sorry you had to go through all that but thanks for sharing the video. Later gator!
