Hi Britt 👋🏾.. I don't have one of these, but I love the way you set it up, and thanks for sharing what you are using your commonplace for very nice setup .. history interesting ❤❤❤
I create my own notebooks instead of buying them because when I'm done a notebook, I can scan them into a digital folder for my notebooks. I create my own library
What do you guys do with the physical ones over the years? I’m always unsure whether to start it or not because I keep thinking: “what will I do with a pile of journals in a few years from now”? 😅
@fabianalbs5394 keep your notebooks the same size and use hard cover books. Walmart sells these for cheap. Put the date on the spine and place them on a bookshelf. Also, there is loose leaf paper. Put page numbers in the corner and place them nice in a 3-ring binder and put them to on the bookshelf. The loose leaf paper makes it easy to scan, so you have a digital copy. I'll make a video within the week on how i make my notebooks.
Great video! For my commonplace journal I like to use Leuchtturm 1917 A6 pocket. I use those notebooks because they have a table of contents and numbered pages. It is also good paper that accepts fountain pens when I feel like using them as well as my favorite gel pens. Because of the table of contents I don’t have a key or anything and just keep all of my topics in the same notebook. I look forward to seeing what you write and what you learn about African and Greek philosophy. I am currently looking for books on African American philosophy, but now I am intrigued by African philosophy too. I took a few philosophy classes in college, but it was mostly Greek and Roman philosophy.
I like Leuchtturm notebooks, too! In American colleges, philosophy courses are mostly about Greek or Roman philosophy. I will be added African and African-American philosophy to my CP book. I’m sorry that I did not explain that in my video. I will share what I have added in about two or three months. Are there any African-American philosophers that you like?
I am thinking of having a common place book. But i have been kind of struggling with finding the right one. I was trying to find a book with a mixture of blank pages for me to draw and color (maybe even paint) and lined pages for me to write about a topic or journal.

👋🏽I really don’t have much organization in my notebooks 🤭 I probably need it. 💚
We've all been there! 🙂

That sounds like you should get a dot grid notebook or a lined grid notebook, but with faint lines on the pages. Good luck!
