My knee surgery and breaking my cost $160,000 after everything and by getting an itemized receipt and just explaining my financial situation to the hospital made it possible for me to pay much leas
Genesis 50:20 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so that I could save the lives of many people.” 💕
Can we all just appreciate the fact that she has literal PTSD from the accident and still talks about it in detail just to answer OUR questions! So brave🥰
Kristin, I have been interested in growing in my faith for so long but I just never took the time to actually do anything about it. It wasn’t until I watched your video with Marcus explaining the accident and you saying that God saved your lives that I felt this strong conviction that I’ve never felt before. Since then I’ve found a church and made an effort to learn what I believe. I also have prayed everyday since. I wanted to share after your shared the verse from Genesis because it was this terrible thing that brought me closer to God. Anyway, I wish you and Marcus the best.
That's amazing gf 😊 if you want to explore when youre not at church (want to learn about something they might not be talking about that week, or stuff you want to explore further yourself) there's some cool ways of 'studying' the Bible that Jess Conte spoke about on Instagram this week :)
Oh my gosh, I live in Germany and was SO SHOCKED to hear about the costs of your (hospital) treatment!! Who can afford that?Since you said you got insurance, how much of it do you have to pay in the end? I really am so shocked.
I’m in Canada so not totally sure... but I don’t think they will have to pay anything? Given the nature of the accident I don’t think the medical bills will fall on them. But I could be wrong
The person who hit them will probably be covering the costs. And his insurance may cover some but it depends on his coverage. At least that’s how it normally works in the US
It depends on the type of plan you pay for! Some people choose to pay a cheaper insurance which means how much you pay monthly would be cheaper. This is better if you're a low-risk person who stays indoors most of the time. If you enjoy the outdoors, travel, are outside often, etc. You are already higher risk and would want to pay more for health insurance. Lower premiums won't be able to cover all of the huge bills and surgeries like these. If you pay a higher premium, then you are more likely to be covered for big bills in case of an emergency. It is also good to pay attention to what your plan offers; deductible, out-of-pocket-max, co-payments.. etc.
God Bless every single person reading this. He is good and answers ALL prayers. Love Him, Trust Him, Look up to Him. Proclaim His good word.✝️🙌🏻✝️ Look at his world through Kristen!!!
When you got into the accident, I remember you and Marcus were automatically my first thought in the morning and my last thought and prayer before going to sleep. I'm so grateful that God saved you both because I would be absolutely devastated living in a world without two of the purest souls. I admire every step you take each day and the effort you put in the making of your videos, the launching of new products (can't wait to see those scrunchies!) or in the making of a meal. You make me so happy and through your experience, I definetly feel even more grateful to live everyday and be healthy. I'm so happy I found you many years ago and I really hope to meet you someday. Love xx
ohmygoodness!!! you just spoke the words that I couldn't say but was always thinking. Thank you for your beautiful words🤍 she truly is the best of the best. I love her and Marcus so muchhh! Been supporting her ever since Marcus's video (it appeared as a suggestion from RUclips) with Kristin all those years ago when she was so shy and wearing a red flannel. I am so glad to see you and know that there are some of us still supporting both of them that were there from the beginning.
You are right! I’m a 3rd medical student and we are taught that bones are very vascular so when you break a bone or have surgery on a bone, clots tend to form and they can dislodge and go to your lungs and that’s what we call pulmonary embolism. Edit: I’m so glad you and Marcus are doing okay. I’m praying for you guys
Yeah, it's definitely a real concern because losing too much weight and not eating enough is very unhealthy. She's already skinny. Edit: I'm not trying to be offensive. I don't think she should worry about her weight simply for looks. I meant that if it impacts her health it's important.
Casie It would be a concern if she was underweight. But she’s not. She lost weight because she had been working out before and had put on weight because of it. She’s not any thinner than she was before she started working out and she’s not at an unhealthy weight. She’s not purposely starving herself. It is normal for her to lose weight because she’s no longer working out and eating as much.
Weight loss is actually a concern for people who have experienced physical trauma. Your body's nutritional needs increase when in recovery, so weight loss could actually mean you're not getting meeting nutritional needs which could increase recovery time and just makes you more susceptible to other injury/illness. That being said, I dont think her weight loss is of too much concern since it has been gradual. The time frame is really important when determining malnutrition, but like I said I dont think hers is to that level
I loved your message about how Jesus saved your lives- because he truly did. And it is such a great testament of your faith to keep coming back to that miracle, and never ceasing to share it with your audience. I am so thankful Jesus led me to you guys, you share such a bright light for so many. Prayers for thorough healing for both you and Marcus mentally, physically, and emotionally, in Jesus’ name. 💗
Operating room nurse here! You’re right, bone breaks and surgeries are the PERFECT recipes for a blood clot! Your bones are very vascular-meaning they require a large supply of blood-making them more susceptible to a blood clot. During surgery we always take measures to prevent blood clots but unfortunately things like this do happen and it results in pulmonary embolisms for some people. Nonetheless, I’m glad you’re doing better; stay strong!❤️
i can't believe ANYONE would think it is appropriate to ask anyone about their weight (loss or gain). If you wouldn't say this sort of thing to her face in real life you definitely shouldn't do it on the internet.
Audrey K - I also agree that it could be very inappropriate, however think of the good through it too. Keep in mind she has the choice to answer the question or not. Answering that question could benefit someone. She’s always been an honest RUclipsr, so I think she wants to be real with us because we all support her. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I genuinely cannot imagine my life without you. You inspire me everyday and fuel my inner 17 year old grandma. I have tried so many new things because of you (fashion, baking, house plants, etc.) and have even grown in my faith because of what you have shared about your faith journey. If Jesus had not performed that miracle I would have felt like I had lost a friend and I am just so grateful 💗💗

Whatever you’re feeling. Whenever you’re lost. Know this. Feel this. My arms are around you, holding you and giving you the biggest hug. I love you so much!
My sister follows you and I've casually watched your videos with her off and on over the past couple years. I'm a little more invested now. I've dedicated a lot of my prayer time to you guys. I'm glad you're healing well.
I remember sharing your original post to so many of my friends to emphasize not only that God is so good but a personal experience of someone that truly had the presence of God covering them!
I got so emotional when she read that bible verse wow. Her love of God and the sheer strength of her faith is so inspiring. The way His light radiates through her, even through a screen, is incredible. What a lovely human being.
I was in a head-on collision when I was a teenager. I was in the passenger seat. I think you explained what it feels like perfectly. Time seems to go in slow motion, even though you can see it coming so fast.
Blood thinner shots are no fun i’m so sorry 😢 Five years ago when i was fifteen i got a blood clot in the back of my knee which cut off my circulation from my knee down and my whole leg would swell up so big and go blue if i walked on it! It was so painful and i can’t imagine what you are going through! I’ve kept you in my prayers 🤗❤️
Physical Therapy was 100% painful after my accident, but 100% worth it. Broke up the scar tissue and got my range of motion faster than if the therapist had gone easy. I did end up spending over a year in PT, but now doing so much better. The PTs and assistant were amazing and made a painful experience more fun.
Oh my gosh I've never had a RUclipsr answer my question and she answered my question if this situation made you think about having kids soon because life is short !!! That made me really excited yay! Love you 😘
physical therapy is HARD, you're right that no one really discusses this...! It hurt and I felt so weak for not being able to do things, but they give you the exact moves that will be hardest for you and make you stronger. you can do it, we're gonna watch you grow Kristin!!
Coming from a medical professional.. I’m so glad you didn’t go to Texas. Please stay home and stay safe. Your body hasn’t recovered enough to go through covid if you got it and could be really dangerous for you. Praying for you love!
Kristin, I watch your wedding video back quite often in an embarrassing volume! During this video, I was thinking about what your sister said in her toast about how you’re a sister to so many online. It’s so true! I love that you are so open and willing to answer the tough stuff so people like me can learn and grow from you. Ahhhhh I am so happy you’re getting better! It was heart wrenching watching you go back to the hospital after those videos. I admire your heart!
Hi Kristin! You probably won’t see this but I wanted to let you know that we know how you feel. I had a patella realignment surgery when I was 16. My knee kept dislocating so that only option was to fix it surgically. If you don’t know what patella realignment is, basically, the surgeons go in and break off a piece of your bone in your leg and attach it to another spot on your leg with screws. That makes the muscle pull the knee cap tighter to prevent it from dislocating. I had this surgery right before Christmas in between my junior year of high school. I too went through the depression, sadness, and questioning why it happened to me. I ALSO was told I needed to bend that knee 90° or else it was another surgery. Let me just tell you, that was some of the worst pain I’ve ever had, but completely worth it. I felt embarrassed learning how to walk again but I knew I would never regret it. HANG IN THERE! It took me a whole year to learn how to walk normally so I’m on your side!
When you were talking about how God turns evil situations into beautiful testimonies, the song "See A Victory" by Elevation Worship kept playing in my mind. You are handling this situation with such grace. Continued prayers for both of you!
I’m not a believer, but your commitment and love gets me. I hope whatever we believe in is helping and healing your body and soul, sending love to the two of you❤️
I am so sorry to hear such a tragic thing happened to you and Marcus but I’m so grateful to hear that you are aware of how many people you have touched spiritually from this experience. You have shown so many people that no matter what happens God has a plan for us all. Thank you for sharing your faith, staying as positive as you can, and inspiring us all. Be strong. You two are in my prayers.
You are so inspiring. I love how confident you are when you're talking about God. It's hard to share your beliefs on any media these days. But you are doing what God is calling you to do...sharing the love of Jesus to soooo many people. Praying for you 🙏❤
Always praying for you and Marcus and your recovery. You bring so much light into this world and I hope that in a couple of months you’ll be as good as new. This world wouldn’t be the same without your kind hearts. Sending love ❤️❤️
As a third year DPT student, I’m so happy that you guys have had such great access to physical therapy! I’m so sorry it’s been painful for you, but it’ll be so worth it when you’re able to walk and do the things you love again! Praying for you and Marcus and wish you both luck on a speedy recovery!
“A REAL VIDEO” 🥺 I am so happy you were feeling good to make this! Love your videos and have been so encouraged to share my faith more with my own tiny platform because of your story and faith ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions! I have shared your story with many people in my life who were all so inspired to hear how Jesus has worked a miracle in your lives. Thank you for being so open and for inspiring so many. 👐💕
Even though you're recovering from something so very traumatic, you still brighten our day SO MUCH💛you are literally living sunshine and I love you for that!!!😍
Hi Kristin!! I’m a long time follower who has also had a serious (not as traumatic as yours) leg injury. It took me months to recoup and I think it’s really powerful that you are back on RUclips answering peoples questions cause I know injuries can be so draining. You are wonderful, healthy and strong. I am so looking forward to seeing your recovery (no documentation necessary of course). You are an open and sweet person that the internet is privileged to be able to witness. ❤️
@@anestassia6346 Yeah well depending on income level the average Canadian pays $6,600/year towards taxes for universal healthcare.... If I paid taxes towards healthcare for 90 years it would still be less than paying $600,000 in medical bills when a car hits me... we get a whole lot more benefits from our government by paying 10% more taxes than americans
@@megs36 look I'm not trying to talk down on your country, Canada is beautiful, and I hate talking politics when this isnt even a political channel. It's just that statements like "free" healthcare are so misleading, and young Americans who know nothing about healthcare read this and of coarse the appeal of free things draws them in, but the reality is high taxes, extremely long wait times for basic procedures, and the quality of healthcare doesn't even compare. But of coarse people don't know about this or educate themselves further into it, they are just captivated by the word 'free' and now we have this radical push for socialism in my country which is just scary.
Anestassia Ibanez Im not sure where “quality” of health care comes into this, but I am Australian and I tell you right now I’m also glad for our “free” health care. and ask anyone who lives here, we would 100% rather pay taxes then have an ACCIDENT happen that wasn’t even our fault put us into debt for the rest of our lives. I don’t even know how people in America think your system works well haha it’s insane. We can choose to pay for these so called “basic procedures” and not wait, but if something is an emergency it gets done ASAP and no hospital bills. I damn well know what I prefer haha
Kristin, I'm so sorry you and Marcus had to go through this especially in these difficult times. God has something big for you and your family and I can't wait to be here and see it 🤍💫
When I got hit by a car (thankfully it was driving slowly and only hurt my lower leg) I was also in the air for a bit and I remember looking at my building and having such a strong wish to go back couple of seconds before that and just go home as I was supposed to
KRISTIN ! ❤ I remember crying the night I heard about your accident from your video. I was so away from Jesus and the moment you spoke I knew the only way you two survived because of Jesus's miracle. The same night I thanked God for saving you and I care about my relationship with Him ever since . Thank you for saving me and leading me again to Jesus. He is the Hero that cant be seen but His actions speak the loudest. I'm gonna keep praying for you 💞💖🌺🌷🌼
I'm so happy to see you getting a little better, even when not everyday you feel good it's nice to see you know that God is with you and it will pass ❤️❤️
You guys should check out moving to the north shore of MA! It’s so quaint and cute I just feel like you would enjoy how peaceful it is by the ocean and the cute homes. I’m glad to hear you both are making progress! My entire family has been keeping up with you and Marcus and praying for a great recovery. 😊💛
So glad you guys are feeling better! You both have such an amazing testimony through this horrible accident and like you said, God will use it for good! So many people have heard about Jesus now, through your story! What an amazing thing to know that such a horrible thing can bring such glory to God! Continuing to pray for you guys! 🧡🧡🧡
I loved hearing you talk about the Bible verse it’s so encouraging especially with everything going wrong in the world right now it feels like nothing is going right but it’s really encouraging to know that God‘s going to use it for good.
hey ! here’s a tip i read a few years ago that might help you with the hospital bills. Make sure to ask them what exactly they’re charging you for. sometimes hospitals sneak in a charge for no reason! i’m muslim and i pray that you will heal completely 💗
You are truly the role model that every young woman should look up to. You are truly incredible and my heart holds a special place for you although we’ve never met!
I had a hip scope surgery and couldn't walk for 2 weeks. Took my body 2 years to fully recover from the surgery. It was terrible. So i can only imagine what you're going through. Just take your time and heal dear.
So glad you’re doing so much better❤️ and yes you’re right! As a nursing student we have learned that a PE is a medical emergency 🚨 when you’re bed bound for long periods of time and not moving around your blood clots in your dependent extremities (DVT) and if they break away they can go through your heart and into your lungs known as a PE!
I didn’t have an accident like this but I was diagnosed with CIPD which is a condition where my immune system has been attacking my nerves in my legs and other parts of my body so I wasn’t able to almost walk at all for a few months and now I’m on the road to recovery and it feels so good to make progress I’ve definitely grown my faith and connection to god through this and I’m glad I have been doing my best to view the positive side in my situation just like you guys I’m so glad you’re okay and god has brought you two even closer together, everything happens for a reason even if we can’t always understand it 🙏🏼💓
Praise God that you are both here to share your message with the world. This video and everything you and Marcus went through really helped me grow my relationship with the Lord and helped me put my trust in him as I am going through a difficult time. Thank you for sharing and for helping me see that the Lord is here to protect us and guide us to our destiny❤️

physical therapy is HARD, you're right that no one really discusses this...! It hurt and I felt so weak for not being able to do things, but they give you the exact moves that will be hardest for you and make you stronger. you can do it, we're gonna watch you grow Kristin!!
Kristin is honestly The sweetest person alive! So happy you guys are getting better and stronger each day! 💜
May God Bless and keep both of you! ❣️
We’ve missed you so much 💛🌼🌸🌺
Seriously tho 😭😭
Coming from a medical professional.. I’m so glad you didn’t go to Texas. Please stay home and stay safe. Your body hasn’t recovered enough to go through covid if you got it and could be really dangerous for you. Praying for you love!
Girl, we love you.
Praying. Stay strong. Things like this have no time limits.
She has the hair of an angel😍😇🥰
I hope whatever we believe in is helping and healing your body and soul, sending love to the two of you❤️
Sending you and Marcus love and prayers. Amazed by God's hand in this situation. Thank you for sharing vulnerable moments with us!
Doctors saved them, not God.
Praying for you 🙏❤
Every time I see your face I am reminded of how good our God is!! And I feel the love of Jesus!! How absolutely blessed you both are!!
Also... move to Texas with Stevie and Sazan!! 🤗
I hope she and Marcus know how much all of us support her and him in her healing!
I still feel like this is all a huge dream if that makes any sense. Kristin & Marcus you are such fighters and a true inspiration. 🙏🏼☀️🤟🏼
The cuddling question 😂😂🤣🤣👀
Going where God calls you is a very wise outlook on life! Praying for you and Marcus
I can’t believe it costs so much! As I Canadian I can’t even imagine having to pay for health care but so glad you guys are doing well!
Well... you do pay for it with your extremely high taxes...
@@anestassia6346 Yeah well depending on income level the average Canadian pays $6,600/year towards taxes for universal healthcare.... If I paid taxes towards healthcare for 90 years it would still be less than paying $600,000 in medical bills when a car hits me... we get a whole lot more benefits from our government by paying 10% more taxes than americans
meggo44 that’s insane
God has something big for you and your family and I can't wait to be here and see it 🤍💫
Move to Texas!! We would LOVE to have you!! Loved this update and so happy you are feeling better and good enough to film!!
🙏🏼 glad both of you are alive and on healing journey.
When I got hit by a car (thankfully it was driving slowly and only hurt my lower leg) I was also in the air for a bit and I remember looking at my building and having such a strong wish to go back couple of seconds before that and just go home as I was supposed to
Wow so crazy that happened to you 🥺
I'm so happy you are back!!
I am an atheist but I asked the universe to look out for you guys ♥️
Praying for a smooth and fast recovery Kristin🙌🏼❤️
Kristin is like the sweetest and most caring person I ever saw😫❤️
You are a conqueror through Christ! For his GOOD & for his GLORY. Sending you so much love and prayers xx
Love you so much Kristin, and I hope you both are doing well.❤️
So glad you guys are feeling better! You both have such an amazing testimony through this horrible accident and like you said, God will use it for good! So many people have heard about Jesus now, through your story! What an amazing thing to know that such a horrible thing can bring such glory to God! Continuing to pray for you guys! 🧡🧡🧡
i love how no matter what you’re going through you look for the positives in everything ❤️❤️❤️
I loved hearing you talk about the Bible verse it’s so encouraging especially with everything going wrong in the world right now it feels like nothing is going right but it’s really encouraging to know that God‘s going to use it for good.
Don’t be nervous we love raw honest you ! It’s what makes me love your videos so much ❤️ continuously praying for you both
hey ! here’s a tip i read a few years ago that might help you with the hospital bills. Make sure to ask them what exactly they’re charging you for. sometimes hospitals sneak in a charge for no reason! i’m muslim and i pray that you will heal completely 💗
The sweetest person ever! 💕
You are truly the role model that every young woman should look up to. You are truly incredible and my heart holds a special place for you although we’ve never met!
Yesss love to see your smiley face back here Kristin!
Also, you've inspired me to grow my faith-based YT channel in quarantine so thank you!
You are so genuine and kind and have the soul of an angel. Thanks for the video!
As soon as I noticed your scrunchie I knew you’d be announcing something! Can’t wait for them!
I had a hip scope surgery and couldn't walk for 2 weeks. Took my body 2 years to fully recover from the surgery. It was terrible. So i can only imagine what you're going through. Just take your time and heal dear.
Literally an angel 🥺❤️❤️
So glad you’re doing so much better❤️ and yes you’re right! As a nursing student we have learned that a PE is a medical emergency 🚨 when you’re bed bound for long periods of time and not moving around your blood clots in your dependent extremities (DVT) and if they break away they can go through your heart and into your lungs known as a PE!
love hearing updates on how you and marucs are doing, sending love and prayers 💓💓
I didn’t have an accident like this but I was diagnosed with CIPD which is a condition where my immune system has been attacking my nerves in my legs and other parts of my body so I wasn’t able to almost walk at all for a few months and now I’m on the road to recovery and it feels so good to make progress I’ve definitely grown my faith and connection to god through this and I’m glad I have been doing my best to view the positive side in my situation just like you guys I’m so glad you’re okay and god has brought you two even closer together, everything happens for a reason even if we can’t always understand it 🙏🏼💓
When you were talking about Genesis 50:20 it reminded me of "See a Victory" by Elevation!
Me too but I couldn’t think of the name of the song!!
Same!
I was just about to say the same thing!
check out Psalm 18!!
KRISTIN!!! PRAISE THE LORD that you are alive! We love you so so much, love from Singapore!
I have missed you Kristin!!♥😭😚
Praise God that you are both here to share your message with the world. This video and everything you and Marcus went through really helped me grow my relationship with the Lord and helped me put my trust in him as I am going through a difficult time. Thank you for sharing and for helping me see that the Lord is here to protect us and guide us to our destiny❤️
You have such a pure heart! Radiates through 💗
praying for y'all. i always admire your positive attitude and trust in God!!!
