Sadie is doing her job, the deer are not a threat to the cows and horses. To Sadie they are just more livestock. Its just her nighttime herd.

The deer probably appreciate Sadie's night time protection from the coyotes too! They know the J&L pastures are a safe place and yum the feed buggy as a bonus.

They are probably accepted because their scent was there first when all your babies moved in. So beautiful, all god’s creatures. If only humans had the humanity that animals have ❤

Love deer. My husband just had a life changing experience last week up here in sw Virginia. As he was driving he spotted a doe ahead off the road so he slowed down, then she stepped into the road and he stopped. She looked him in the eye and walked towards his window and while his hand was out she rubbed her body against his hand . He patted her behind softly then she frolicked in the road as she crossed to other side. She then turned to him stopped looked at him again and bowed to him and fled into the woods. He called me and said how he was shaking and had tears of amazement. What a beautiful and special thing to happen. I’m a bit envious lol my husband is a very gentle loving man and evidently now has a special bond with nature.
If you don’t already do so, you may need to shut the doors on the grain bin at night. Maybe throw some corn down since it’s cheaper if you would want to feed them. Such a beautiful sight.

Morning Jami - Wow, what a truly *amazing* nighttime video from JL Ranch. The night beauty on your property surely does not disappoint. So wonderful you thought to pick up your camera and share the magic of a herd of deer, Momma’s and young, knowing they can peacefully and without fear, visit your land and the animals that live there, pose them no threat or danger. The thick ebony of the darkness that falls over the Ranch is incredible to actually see. JL Ranch at night, brings with it an appeal that speaks of calmness and serenity, in nature’s most natural form and it adds to the splendid charm, we already knew that this piece of your land offers - offers to those who currently reside there - your animals, to those who visit there - the deer and to those who may, at some point down the road, build their dream home and actually live there. Such a incredible video you brought us! Thank you, so very much for this visit Jami and wishing you and all visiting your your page today, a stupendous Saturday....

I feel like If I comment when the video first comes out, it's more likely that you guys will see the comments. I wish you could have put your handprint, lesters handprint, and Sadie's paw print.🐶 Even a horseshoe🐎, or get ruby's🐃 footprint to put on the concrete slab before it dried. Oh deer - that's a lot of deer 😂! Apparently the J&L is the place to be & it's so wonderful to see all of them. As I'm typing this we're getting a pretty good thunderstorm rolling through. Speaking of which, I hope that you guys are aware of Beryl - by next week it'll be near the Yucatan, then into the Gulf of Mexico. Wouldn't it be something for Gracie to have her baby around Beryl? Definitely a beautiful, albeit hot 🔥 Texas night ❤ Take care, stay cool 😎& have a gr-8 day 😊!

    ❤ Hey, Jami!
It was also nice listening to the nighttime sounds, the crickets... I miss those sounds I grew up hearing, back in the days before air conditioning, with the attic fan and oscillating fans everywhere... when it was safe to leave windows open...
Looking back on it now, I don't know HOW we did that!
    😂
Thank God for air conditioning! 😂🎉
