Nah man this is not it. From the beta so far, just from numbers alone she isn't replacing anyone. So I think what Kuro is trying to do is so that the new class and element doesn't overshadow all other elements and setting up the base for the rest of her kind.

They wanted to implement that new type of shield from cradles boss fight, a new element has been anticipated for a long time, her new class is no more than attacker + qol, she will be huge help for both new players and veterans when she comes

She isn’t gonna beat the respective teams attacker because then every other attacker is gonna be skipped since she can just get buffed by everyone. Not even Lee is getting replaced.
