💰 Is this the infinite fish glitch?
When I was 13 (10 years ago), I would take any extra fish from my overpopulated tanks to my local fish shop and they would let me trade them in for fish food and other inhabitants! This was definitely what kept my love for fish so strong growing up.
I was curious if this little side hobby still works so I set up a Walstad style tank to cut electricity costs down and to my surprise, the side hobby lived on! 🥹
*Remember , the rarer the fish/shrimp/snail, the more credit the store will give :)

it's so cool that your local fish shops does trades and buys from you , my local shops don't do trades and only buy from large businesses
I used to deliver fish fry to 3 different stores, but it wasn't easy! They are very careful about sickness and parasites. So only after the people at the stores get to know me and my tanks I got to sell and trade fry. I even got several L-code catfish for free to breed 😊 That was a enjoyable and easy period! Now 3/4 of the stores are gone. And those who are left, all sell the same 20 types of fish 🙄

I mean technically, that’s how breeding works as a business, regardless of the animal. You sell a portion of the young animals, and you use the money to buy food and supplies for your breeding stock. But in this case, she’s starting with cheap, low maintenance guppies, and gradually bringing more interesting fish into the mix. Dog breeding, horse breeding, etc, generally requires purchasing much more expensive purebred starting animals.
I love this channel since she teaches me so much about fish.

I have a story about a fish i tried to save so one day i went to the fish store and i saw this weird catfish that had i white eye so i took him home and feed him special food clean water recent gravel changes but it got worse and one day i woke up and he passed. sadly what happened was out of my hand. PS: his name was captain white eye.

These fishies are so cute, I'm surprised I hadn't subscribed until now. I love cute aquarium animals! (I have aquatic frogs by the way, two African Clawed Frogs. I want to give African Dwarf Frogs a fair chance though since my only experience with them was my mom over-crowding a 5 gallon tank, trying to help a starved to near death one only for it to die and all the other aquarium animals to eventually die too... thinking about that makes me so sad... But I would like to get more aquatic frogs and get some fishies if I get bigger aquariums, and, just, more aquariums...)
