I never knew Steve-O was CEO of Rivian.
Me neither…who tf is this clown? “We got the gross margins that match the cogs with the brand recognition” he sounds like a boomer pretending to be a Gen Z
I buy $100 of rivian every 2 days. 🤫 the company is doing its due diligence and not rushing anything. #1 rated brand! Gotta stop selling that news!
Heck yes!!! I keep adding to the stock pretty much weekly!
I agree and I live close to Irvine so know their HQ. They are a steady 100% USA company unlike Tesla
What percent of overall index rise is due to the sole reason of tremendous increase in awareness and avenues to invest in stocks, whole or fractions?
they are being ass kicked by all those Chinese EVs. The only reason they are alive because of US does not allow Chinese EV selling. Rivian has no future across the globe.
@@user-vw6mu8gt6c The only reason why Chinese EVs undersell American is because Chinese automakers can work their people to death and it's not a problem. We are competing with foreign companies that literally grind their employees to dust without any regard.
I have owned 8 trucks before the R1-T and have owned my R1-T for almost 2 years and I am still amazed everyday and would absolutely recommend. The other trucks I’ve owned can’t even be compared to the R1-T. I wish I could have bought 30 years ago, instead of all the other trucks! 😊
3:49 That was a loud gulp after he said they'd be positive gross margin by end of this year. Bad sign?
He knows his time is up.
haha I noticed same thing :D
That was the loudest gulp ever recorded holy crap lol
Literally jumped to the comments as soon as I heard that lol
You idiots read into things too much
He said gross margin.
That last question needed a be answer
Cant wait for Rivian to be an amazing company with positive margins. Cant wait for R2!
I doubt that. That pickup truck is a disaster! The SUV is ok but way too expensive.
How gross you want those margins??
“Why are you geh”

The new customers r more than enough to give the stock a strong comeback, but it might take some time

Tesla always have gross profit margin. But rivian losing 47000 dollars in every car they sell.
Tesla had the benefit of ZIRP during its growth stage. Rivian does not
Almost EV manufacturer is looking to introduce lower priced models. They need to. EVs were essentially luxury cars based on their price points. What I find interesting is that I have never seen a Rivian, not a single one in my town, and we’re a city of more than 1.5 million people, and I see Tesla cars everywhere, and not only that, I drive a Tesla, but I have never seen a single Rivian on the streets or the highways, near where I live, nowhere have I seen a Rivian.
So how can Rivian be outselling Tesla?
I saw 3 on the road yesterday during a 20 minute drive
I seen 4 around my suburban area outside of Chicago
@@joesmith3908 Excellent! So I’m not out there that often anymore, because I’m retired now, and so I don’t have an outside commute on a daily basis, but because I drive an EV, I’m very focused, and keenly aware of how many people around me are driving electric cars, and I’ve seen the Hyundai Ionia 5, lots of them, the Ford Mustang Mach E, and I recently saw what I think was the Cadillac Lyriq, but I’ve only saw one of them, and so I live in a gated community of over 1000 people and I’m the only resident that drives an EV.
So there’s a lot of people in the marketplace that will eventually make their next purchase an EV, and I have no doubt about that, because of the number of people who still ask questions about how good are they? The range, and how long it takes to charge.
So all the basic questions that you would think by now most people would just know, but they don’t. They simply don’t know and my car the Tesla M3 is an absolute stunner. I mean it really amazes me that after all these many years, people still can’t get enough of just checking out that car, and I know because I’ve got a lot of them on my dash cam. Cheers 🥂

So it’s news to me that Rivian is out selling Tesla! So where did he get that information? And when did that change occur?
Their SUV R1S outsold the Model X in the US. They don't have anything that competed with Model Y yet.
@@JordanSolomon Touché! So I am happy that they’re in the marketplace, because quite frankly, Tesla has no real competition, I mean they’re so well positioned in terms of talent, money, knowledge, and skill sets, that they can truly conquer the entire market by themselves, and that’s not a good thing, cause I believe in competition, I think competition makes everyone in the business that much better.
So kudos to them, if they can really make their company grow, and compete for market share with anyone, including Tesla in the marketplace today, and beyond, because the marketplace is still quite large, as the last estimate I heard in terms of just passenger cars is somewhere in the billions, so there’s a lot of passenger cars out there we need to replaced, if we’re ever going to get to a net zero carbon emissions free world. Cheers 🥂

Improve the range man.. ppl would buy EVs if the 'real range' in all weather conditions is not less than 400 miles, anything less is a deal breaker. You need to hit the the inflection point before you go bankrupt.

2026 a $50K price point gets them in the Model Y territory and I’m afraid that won’t be enough. The scariest thing is, to make this R2, it’s clear they’re going to have to capital raise while the stock is down 20%. Dilution at these levels makes me weary of picking up shares. Positive in Q4 is a stretch but they were there directionally. Slowing revenues does not help. I don’t know… I’m indifferent on this one. Upside doesn’t seem to be tremendously high, at least not in the next couple of years.

Do they dare go to international market?
In California, auto breakins are at a ridiculous level. This is especially true in the Bay Area and LA, where incomes are relatively high and EVs are popular. Many of those people can quite easily afford $95k electric vehicles.
EVs are expensive, and car thieves know that. Having a contemporary high priced EV makes you a target for at least a breakin, but even a carjacking or robbery. Rivian is gonna boom more and more once it starts making the R2 cuz people like Rivian cars, but prices now are the factor. Rivian has a bright future. I am so confident. Elon Musk was lucky when we got the COVID cuz he got the chance to flood the market with his EVs then EVs/Teslas became a thing then Musk decided to lower prices cuz he knew that the inventory of gas cars will come back so it is gonna affect his market and that is why he is lowering prices.
Rivian has a big chance to succeed. Rivian has money to make the R2. Rivian cars have good reputation. Rivian is launching R2 design in a few days. Rivian has a lot to do this year and its stock is gonna rocket soon.
The good thing about EVs in general is that they lower the demand on gas so gas prices stay lower so inflation stays lower which is good for the economy. That is why EVs have a bright future till people are gonna have to buy EVs and gas cars will be the more expensive cars at that point and at that point high volume of EVs is gonna be what is making money for the EV manufacturers. So EVs are a must.
There is so much supply of different product in the 40k price range. I don't see myself buying an R2 over a Ioniq5, ev6, MachE. The R2 will also be way less efficient with its boxy shape, 250 miles of range is not going to cut it when you got Hyunda giving over 300 miles. Heck even the ID4 is near 300 miles while qualifying for the full tax credit. It's a competitive space that Rivian has no idea how to win. They'll loose alot of $ going mass market.
Let's see the car specs when it comes out. I don't expect everyone to buy the same car. I think R2 is gonna be a big competitor for German cars
Has RJ considered cutting his salary and the new raises he gave himself, in light of these shocking reports, abandoning their factory in George and whzt he’s doing to his employees? I mean come on $1 million dollars a year plus 100.% annual salary match. 😡
Love my R1S. The base model should qualify for the tax credit. It's not perfect but they did a hell of a job on the car. Theyll hedge their bets on preorders for the R2S. If interest is high, the capitol will flow to get it done. It will be priced where a lot of ice mid size SUVs are.

It's an easy pass. Has many issues. No one talks about the fact that the ev market is limited especially at this price point, also in about a year.. Thousands of rivian cars will be coming off leases. I read somewhere that almost every sale is a lease.. No one is buying it.
