lol I love that Buster sit in "his" bed and the kittens were presented to him one by one like the king he is! Jokes aside, very interesting interactions! It seems that Buster put the too confident kittens (Ada and Isaac) down a peg or two, scolding them for their faux pas, and was very sweet with the shyer ones. Galileo seems to have struck the perfect middle and looks clearly the favourite of the bunch. Also I think it's not easy to realise how smooth these interactions are, it's absolutely not a given. Special cats indeed!
Ada figured out quickly what she had done wrong against Buster. She gave him more respect on her second approach. He seemed to approve of her responsiveness.
Buster looks exactly like my Argo, who I weaned and had him until he finally died of old age. The largest and best cat I ever had. He was so gentle and placid! I never heard him growl or hiss - ever. His purr was so loud he’d wake me up in the middle of the night. I still miss him and it’s been many years. 🐈⬛
Buster seems to bolster specifically the self esteem of the least assertive of the kittens. The kittens who came forthright into his space he checked or put a stop to, while he dwelled gently and supportively on the bashful ones.
They're getting so big! Buster is the perfect uncle...only one tiny growl and one hiss. He seemed quite comfortable sitting on the bed like a king on his throne. I think he is simply terrific 👍👍💯💯💯

Another one?’ So Ada got the ‘watch it girl’ then ‘alright what now’ with the next two. Then he seemed most intrigued by Leonardo… a creampuff boy most like himself! @@Maine_Coon_KittensI don’t know, Galileo seem to have gotten closer to Buster than Ada and Buster didn’t hiss at Galileo, and Isaac only got close to one of Buster’s front paws before Buster growled at him. Leo seemed the only one that maintain space between him and Buster as it was Buster that kept getting a closer look at Leo. Maybe it’s something Isaac and Ada said
Wonderful video. These guys are really easy to tell apart. That’s the first time (or that I remember) I’ve seen Buster hiss. Overall though, he was incredibly patient and nurturing, especially to Galileo and Leonardo.
Yes, Buster almost never hisses 🙂 It's really nice to have five kittens in litter that still look so different. I got Orion and Sirius mixed up a lot during the first weeks 😅

@@lindaj171 I've seen kittens do that before. They don't seem to get the concept of "female" or "male", or even "cat". As long as someone is bigger than them, fluffy and not hostile, they will look for food where they're used to finding it.
