Wow! You made a knife out of essentially cast iron(I see why you used a core of 1070 in it), it looks great and you showed how. To that I say 'tank you good sir'.
That's exactly what they were! If you look at the samples of that time, they were a little rough, often with blackened blades, simple knives whose production could easily be established in a warring country. He was equally good at cutting food and sentries. Thanks, among other things, to such knives, our great-grandfathers crushed the Nazis! Thank you for the video, wonderful knife!
That knife is awesome, but I'm concerned about it's structural integrity, considering how close to the edge the pin hole is, how there's only a single pin, and how short and thin the tang is. Still, looks great, and seems to cut well.
I really like these unique items which you make, and the way you take something, sometimes with relevance to the end product, and re-purpose it. Like turning a piece of tank track into a knife.
Very nice work! I jus think if the guard not supposed to be rotate 180 °, the lower part oriented to de pomel, and the upper part oriented to the tip of the blade.
It would be interesting to see the strength test. As the knife leaves scratches on the glass. Cutting the rope. Rossection of plastic bottles with water.

Beautiful knife!
Very nice, but I think your guard is upside down?
Looks to me you are going to hurt your hand when stabbing something...
All in all: well done...!
Ed.
Most soviet combat knives were actually made that way, but good observation
Looks like most NR-40 knives have the guard this way around!
That’s how lots of russian knives are.

Eres un genio 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hmmmmm🤔 4:10 your welding magnet also has a Black Beard 😂
В траках не та сталь, а вот в пальцах, которые их соединяют - вполне себе неплохая.

I got one of those sharpeners coming, I can't wait.
Can you tell me the name of this device?
Damn cool.
Nice black knife. It reminds me of a Mora knife from the 80's esp wrt. the handle construction though.

Blackbeard is very difficult to beat, and maybe impossible!
Amazing!
7:17-7:19 it looked like delamination happened. How did you ensure that the sandwich was well fluxed and forge-welded?

Just talented... Best in the world
Я с России, в моем городе во время WV2 собирали эти ножи и до сих пор делают.

Everything looks amazing but you hole in the tang is off set and is probably going to be a point of failure. I love how the knife turned out overall.
