    CR6 is a good looking bike, and cheap to run. Another great vid J&M. More please!

    I fully agree with the fact that the CR6 is very nice bike and it is very very cheap to use. It is one of the cheapest ways of transportation.
    About the range, I would not recommend it if you need to do more than 60km. (one way, or back and forth if you can charge at your destination).
    I have been able to get +80 km out of the battery. But in winter and with riding faster this easily goes down to 70km. An electric car can heat the battery, an electric motorcycle not. So the hit with could weather is much higher.
    And the last 10-15km your top speed goes down significantly to protect the battery. So you do not want to get that on your regular commute.
    My commute is about 60km, typically at 50 to 80 km/h, a small part at 90 km/h. I charge at my destination. Any electricity socket will do. And that is really the maximum you can do without limitations in top speed or accelerations.

      Thanks. That was much more helpful than any video, i´ve seen so far.
      The parking lot at work is too far from the building to charge it at work, so I have to rely on the charge to last for minimum 56km at full speed. Degradation included.
      I could use a CCS charger at work, but that´s sadly not included in this bike.
      Im still looking at the more powerful Alrendo TS bravo, but that bike is very heavy, very expensive.
      You can get a very nice new Motorcycle for less, but I don´t want the motor vibration and sound.

      Well, it's a motorcycle. You can't have 500 kg of batteries on a motorcycle, so obviously, with the current available battery technology there's not going to be much more to expect.
      Maybe it's just me, but if I had 60 km to work I would either move or get another job.

    My Horwin ride to work totals 20 miles each way. This includes 30 miles at 50 mph and the remainder in Mode 1 (37mph max) through the town and back roads. I can just make it as long as the weather is not too cold. Hard acceleration and cruising over 55mph just hammers the battery. A higher capacity battery given another 10 miles of range would make this a much better EV Motorbike.

      Hi Alfredo, thanks for your comment. Yes, this bike is fine to ride in rain and cold weather as with any motorbike.

    I'm looking for a electric bike, just like the CR6 pro or the Super Soco TC Max, however my commute is 50% 60MPH roads on a 25 miles commute, how much worse will the range get? do you have any dat for this?

    • @two70motorcycles
      @two70motorcycles  3 года назад +2

      Hi, thanks for the comment. Range will reduce significantly riding at full speed for 12 miles straight. You're likely to get around 45 miles in this case. If you are able to charge at work then you will have no issues, although the CR6 and TC Max aren't truly designed to run at full speed over those distances, they are better suited to town and city use where average speed is 30mph or less with short bursts at full speed. It's always worth test riding one yourself to get a first hand understanding of their capabilities.

      @@two70motorcycles yeah no as a former cr6 rider I'd drive between kendal and ambleside in the lakes everyday so 24 miles aprox doing avg 50 to 55 mph and would only just make it before the motor cut out. They even used to advertise it as a 100 mile range on top of the myriad of issues i had from the chain falling off in the first week and the boke spitting consistent error messages at me after 3 months I'm not a fan

      I have a CR6 for about 15 months. 25miles one way is no problem at any speed. Even at full throttle most of the time. But doing 25 miles back and forth is not possible. Realistically speaking, taking into account cold weather and the fact that it goes in eco-mode for the last 15km, you should not do a commute of more than 60km/37miles. This assumes you can charge at your work.
      So conclusion for you: yes you can easily do it if you can charge (for about 3 hours) at your work.

    Is there a more powerful upgrade battery for this bike?

    • @CyberlightFG
      @CyberlightFG 2 года назад +1

      That wouldn't fit. The whole middle part is just battery. There is actually no option with higher range.
      The bigger ones do have more range, but much more power, too. That adds up to the price very quickly.
      You will need a full motorcycle license for heavy bikes, too.

      @@CyberlightFG much appreciated for the reply
      I've a full licence for the last 30yrs just can't justify £18000+ for a longer range etc...I will wait till a horwin type bike comes along with hopefully a 120+ mile range

      You can't get affordable bikes for 120 miles. There are some with fast charging, but always very expensive
