the 'facility' here is a green mat on a concrete floor sheltered by a steel utility shed, which will become an oven under a high tropical sun, and they feel lucky to have it. i've played in malaysia, laos, philippines, and south china in even humbler venues, and that's largely how badminton gets done in south and southeast asia. you just train and play wherever and you're grateful for whatever chances you get, and the lack of fine facilities doesnt hold you back a bit. like when you're hungry you dont really care what you eat as long as it's food. these guys are hungry to play and it shows in their energy. i'm sure i'm not the only one who noticed the player in blue seems to be an admirer of lcw. finally, this is yet another video filmed in glorious 60 fps, and the camera angle is excellent-- a pleasure to watch

@@badmintonrx7632 hot air causes the shuttle to be quick due to the fact the air is less dense compared to colder air. However, humid air is dense like cold air due to the water vapor in the air so I would agree with the original commenter.
Idk his footwork seems much worse. Like he has really fast footwork, but that's basically it, it's not efficient at all. Instead of taking fast large steps he's taking really small steps quickly. His shot selection seems pretty meh too, idk maybe I've been watching too many professional matches 😂

Looks like the humidity level there is slowing down the bird. Could also be the shuttle speed type too but the speed looks slow to me.
humid air is actually less dense and causes shuttles to be faster. They must be playing with really light shuttles to explain the slow speed.
