Hey ladies! I just adore you both! I’m a 42 year old returning to ballet after 25 years out. I came back slow in January, one class a week. After experiencing such overwhelming support and such a wonderful environment, I signed up for another class. Now, I’m at 3 a week and my inner child’s soul feels nourished and loved. I can’t emphasize finding a supportive environment enough. Shoutout to Jonathan Breight of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
SO love your conversational style on these very relevant issues about ballet and pointe shoes!!! Thanks very much for this video!! Kathryn's comments are just so honest and realistic about the vulnerabilities that we feel as an adult ballet going-backer! >
I learned how to sew pointe shoes. It was so hard , but Kathryn helped me so much. She is so amazing and generous. Josephine picked a great shoe for me.
2 brands in a local pointe shop? Oh, you're being too generous! (I got fitted by Josephine too, so I have the recommendations. I still can't get my hands on any of them, months and months later though....)
Hi Katie! Love the video ❤ this question was kinda answered but I will sometimes get really bad cramps en pointe and I don’t know what to do when I get them. I do take ice baths once in a while, please help!! Thank you
I would like some recommendations on ballet clothing for plus size adults. I have noticed that an xl is not nearly true to size. I did manage to visit Dancewear Corner to try on because I used to subscribe to your box but the 1x was still too small (I wear xl regular clothing) but the girl there kept showing L items telling me "these are big." She didnt seem to get it. Needless to stay, I havent purchased anything else there since. I tried Amazon. It's been hit or miss.
I find that taking your own measurements and try and find brands online that work with your numbers If that doesnt work out for you at least for leotards id try to find numbers that are close enough to what yours are and checking the fabric its made out of,any type of cotton wont give any stretch so it wont be comfy unless its exactly your size. For skirts I think there are a few shops on Etsy that can make custom sizes so you can just give them the measurements. Hopefully these tips can help just a little bit and I wish you luck with finding things because I know it can be so hard

Katie 's snow scene is truly amazing, I don't know if to give her a gold medal for the dancing or for the editing, but I love that, so impressive💜
