When you hit the SP attack button, don't let up until it's time to perfect release. The sp button acts as the block already. No need to re-tap. That's why you are seeing "early release".

Until Guilly is fixed go with Hawkeye or OML; This is also dependent on what content you need to pass and who you already have. You don't need OML if you already have an X23, etc.
