I watched this because Inga is so charming. However, I think it would have been more effective (and maybe more interesting) if she tried to make the same dishes with a cheap blender, to actually show why its worth spending so much on this thing. Because it seems like everything she did should be within the capabilities of most modern blenders.
The ninja blender which is around that price or cheaper will work better as a blender and also comes with a food processing top. Blender designs with blades at just the bottom are much worse than blenders like the ninja that have multiple layers of blades.
THE BEAST! I too fell for the marketing for this thing, and it is good for my purposes. The company was started by the same guy who invented the nutribullet. I think the best part of this thing is how it looks on a counter.
@@darrylyee409 On Korean cooking channel, kiwi was suggested as the only suitable substitute for Korean pears, but it does give a slight green colour to the dish. I've seen a lot recipes for Korean bulgogi and LA galbi that use both Korean pears and apples that are fantastic
May have been a more effective review if this blender had been compared to another? Feels more like we are seeing (and enjoying) a video of blender recipes rather than a blender review for say
Because it's not a review, it's an ad for this blender. This one doesn't really do anything other blenders don't so there isn't any specifics to talk about. Not that I'm hating on that, they are a business that produces free content and they have to make money somehow.
@@FictionWeLiveIn this is not an ad! if it is an ad, it’s illegal because they don’t ever say it’s an ad (disclosure is mandatory in the us where ate is based)
@@FictionWeLiveIn it's not an ad nor review. the format of this series is just using expensive products for a month and considering it's worth. that's all. I'm sure there are many other channels that both review and advertise this product.
I’ve actually used this blender to make baby food and I LOVED it. It was so quick and easy to use and had minimal clean up and it’s definitely the best blender I’ve used.
This is a really good question that I'm still curious about. Running filled with hot water and dish soap won't necessarily clean a blender if it has deep ridges on the inside like this one, so I don't think this video is complete without answering this question. In the future, I'd prefer to always have the hosts of the video clean the appliances a few times and video the process and comment on it. None of us have people to wash our stuff for us. If it's dishwasher safe, great -- show that. If it's a pain to clean, show that too. It's important!
I agree, this blender does a great job and it put my heavy vitamix in the storage room. BUT it irks me that it’s so hard to get all the goodness out of this blender because of all the ribs inside it. I’m someone who likes to get every bit of my ingredients back out of the blender, so there’s that to consider. I love that it’s small and powerful.
After you get the bulk out, you can add water and shake it up. Now you have 2-in-1 flavored water without wasting all the goodness in the ribs! But I agree with you that smooth sides would be nice. Maybe the ribs add structure or help thing to mix?
right, this blender does what an extremely cheap does in the exact same way, a regular one is 700 pesos in my currency and like 37 dollars, this one is 3,200 pesos, so about one high-end personal blender AND a regular one AND an extremely cheap one. and the difference in efficiency is almost null in my opinion.
Legally, in the country where these videos are fimed and produced, they HAVE to say if its a sponsored post. Since she didn't name drop it more than 1 time I highly doubt it's an ad since she only referred to the blender as the 155-Dollar Blender. I wouldn't over think it being an ad tbh
@@pillkink Oh yeah, I completely understand that it's NOT an ad. I know these guys would do the legal requirements. Just saying it felt pretty overtly positive towards the blender. Not to mean anything negative in that statement at all.

@@lnhart7157 yes, even second hand you’re looking at around $300. I love the Vitamix we have at home and it’s great for dinner party cooking and such, but it’s a very different thing. Portions for one in a vitamix don’t work in their standard containers.
@@fabe61 You can do servings for 1 if you buy the aftermarket 32oz or 48oz container instead of the 64, but yeah, it's difficult.
