You are right, but only if you plan to shredd fresh wood without any metal parts or stones in it. If you have demolition wood, old furniture with door hinges, mattresses with metal springs, wooden railway sleepers with metal brackets etc. - then any chipper (even the biggest one) will break pretty quickly. Besides that, with this pre-shredder you can also handle various kindes of waste including old tyres, carpets, domestic and industrial waste, electronic waste, aluminium profiles and much more.
