    What a genuinely lovely chap. I really enjoyed watching him play back in the day, and am happy that he has found his calling in life.

    As a Catholic (convert) discerning the priesthood and Canary, this is beautiful. I love that our club has Delia - a Catholic, our ground is named after a Catholic monastery (Carrow Abbey) and you can see the Cathedral from our ground.
    A blessed club :) OTBC

    God bless you father, thank you for answering the call of God, without the priests there’s no Holy Eucharist and other Sacraments.

    Bless you Father as you show Gods Love to the World. Wow! Your story is so encouraging. Glad the Catholic Church is getting more fresh leadership. At one point, I thought about being a Priest. However, God led me in another direction.

    What would his answer be to this " Matthew 23:8-10 King James Version (KJV)
    8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
    9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
    10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

      If you are asking why Catholics call priests with the title of 'Father', it is because it is apostolic tradition, as seen from the epistles within the same Bible you cite, as well as priests being spiritual guides in the faith, with a fatherlike disposition towards a congregation.
      That quote is also obviously using 'Father' as a synonym for God Himself, and not you being literally unallowed to call someone father. Do you think you must use a different name for your dad?

      @janetstephenson
      What did you call your dad? Did you not refer to him as your father? Priests are supposed to be spiritual fathers for their flocks.

      @@michaellamb5534 Priests are OT positions, today the only one above us is the Lord Jesus, we are all one body if saved by believing 1 Cor 15:1-4 and Jesus is the Head. Nobody else is above us.

      The Plastic Paddy I know little of Islam other than the basics I learned during my 10 years working in Turkey. The Bible condones slavery, Exodus 21, and vicarious redemption is at the core of its belief. It's a disgusting book, and anybody who devotes their life promoting it's homophobia, misogynist views, filicide, genocide, infanticide immediately loses my respect.

      James Beck exodus 21. Jesus allegedly said later in the new testament "slaves obey your masters". Fact check me then apologise.
