Can we just move the stars with its planets away so these filthy xenos cannot reach me via standard hyperlanes (create my own little L-gate system)? Or maybe even flying away to another galaxy? Maybe we can rip apart space-time and create a stable portal to (once again) another galaxy, effectively playing as extradimensional invaders. On the other hand one can build a doomsday device that will dramatically increase gravitational force of central galactic black hole, so it will slowly devour every system starting from the closest to galaxy's center.
Next on gigastructures Developing Universe Nexus Center: A blob of a forming universe a size of a system. How about 450K energy and mineral for 1K research of everything?... Black hole colony: You are creating an anti singularity within a singularity. A dyson sphere of a black hole and habiting the inner side of it.
For the shroud building, other than the Unbidden seemingly coming in quite early, and by quite early I mean within 20 years of its construction, ending my game cause I stupidly decided to up their fleet power to 1.5 M each, though that could be because I happened to get PSI jump drives from the shroud a while back, other than that I don't know what else had came through. Elysium habitats are actually an old concept, they're basically big bishop rings. EDIT: The Penrose Sphere seems like a decent way to deal with end game crises like the Unbidden and Prethoryn.
Well, it seems to destroy everything in a system and neighboring systems. So, if you have one on the outskirts of your empire, lure the Prethoryn or Unbidden to it and detonate it, which would destroy them and everything in the neighboring systems.
@@randomnerd4211 problem is that the swarm arrives in groups of systems and you dont really have a lot of time to prepare. The Penrose bomb could effectively wipe out the unbiden in one single action but you need to be extremely lucky to where they decide to spawn

I think a series where you start on say a super ring world or whatnot would be really cool. Its no so much a single world play but rather its a controlled expansion. Maybe have it so FTL travel is not invented at the time and so its all about the initial solar buildup. I think that might be cool.
Anyway, this is a cool vid. :)
I can imagine the sheer amount of time that would have to be pumped into this mod without other mods to speed things up.
*"Called a kugelblitz"*
Finally I can shoot down all of those pesky alien craft!
A Matryoshka brain is not a habitat, it is a layered super computer and it is a Kardashev 2 structure, not Kardashev 3.
You are like the forerunners
Mega structures- check
Technology beyond your widlest dreams- check
One scientist once asked in regards to the War Moon project "But why?!" to which our dear leader replied "Because its cool."
Could you do Zenith of a Fallen Empire. really great mod that makes the late game really fun
Can't wait for the Terastructural Engineering
"That's no moon, it's a Space Station.... no wait, it is a moon!"
On the other hand one can build a doomsday device that will dramatically increase gravitational force of central galactic black hole, so it will slowly devour every system starting from the closest to galaxy's center.
gigastructural engineering is a severely under-rated mod, IMO. I use this in all my playthrus. You can build tall as fuck with this mod.
Finally I’m able to terraform *ALL* of solar system planets!
That Blackhole bomb looking pretty sexy with the Nemesis update.
Next on gigastructures
Developing Universe Nexus Center: A blob of a forming universe a size of a system. How about 450K energy and mineral for 1K research of everything?...
Black hole colony: You are creating an anti singularity within a singularity. A dyson sphere of a black hole and habiting the inner side of it.
it seems that i accidentally subscribe to a commercial channel
For the shroud building, other than the Unbidden seemingly coming in quite early, and by quite early I mean within 20 years of its construction, ending my game cause I stupidly decided to up their fleet power to 1.5 M each, though that could be because I happened to get PSI jump drives from the shroud a while back, other than that I don't know what else had came through. No Wanderlust event chain either.
@@StarboyXL9 My best fleets at that time just barely ranged into the hundred thousands, I was playing a wide empire, it came in a system right behind me that I forgot to claim, wasn't expecting the Unbidden to come just yet, and also slightly hoping another crisis instead came, but no, I got a 1.5 million Unbidden fleet, right up the ass.
@@StarboyXL9 Also didn't know it spawned the Unbidden early.
"That's no moon! That's a space station!"
True, I had not taken that into account.
holy shit this mod author loves to do things real big huh
yeah but in the context of this game 250,000 minerals?! Are you kidding me? That is a stupid amount of resources.
@@Scortch-lo3xy Thats are end game structures for big galaxys over >800 systems, that ammount is pretty fair.
Now we need the megalomania dlc for Stellaris. PARADOX! Do the thing....
Basically Isaac Arthur's whole channel.
Aspec:introducing the war moon
Me: thinks of Star Wars episode 4 "that's not a moon that's a space station"
You missed a prime opportunity for a U2 reference with the Zoo Station.
Not gonna lie this is some sort of Star Wars stuff right here. Especially that attack moon. I just hope that no Rebel would be able to fly into it and blow it up because of a construction mistake.
ASpec talked about my creation. I'm happy now. Handing the star lifter off to Elowiny was definitely the best decision I made with that mod.
This is a must-have for modded adventures in Stellaris
I actually found one of these
The Event Horizon Offset Facility, or EHOF.
Basically, teleporter for star systems pre-gened hyperlanes dont attach to. Like L-Gates but withoit the risk of end-game doomsday AI.
alao the spurce for Quasi-Negative-Mass
All I can think of whenever I see a War Moon is that episode of Invader Zim where Mars and Mercury are turned into giant warships that have that exact same thruster design and ribbed structures on their surface
Two words, Aspec. Two words. As of the latest update to Gigastructures, BIRCH SPHERE
There is an addon of that mod about ringworlds where you can build 4 Ringworlds in a system making more than 20 segments, I hope that addon get added into the mod directly.
It already has been, giga and ultra ringworlds.
What we could really use is defensive ring around planet, not with single hyper gun but with many many many many good guns, for when fleet is away, , because those star bases sux
Always love coming back to this video lol
20:06 The Beast planet will be real?! EEEEP! o_0
The gist of this mod - KABUUM!
...I shall call my Attack Moon that I'm turning Luna into Dahak, and we shall build the Imperium on the bones of our enemies!
19:35 my people worked themselves into extinction converting my planet into a navigable space vessel
why would you do all of that?
because it's coooooool
This terraformation system is far more interesting than the vanilla
Stellaris gigastructures-one planet challenge have never been so easy!
“You may fire when ready”
"thats not a space station, thats a moon"
This feels like an ad from a megacorp
@ASpec The Orbitals seem to be a reference to the Culture's Orbitals which are, well, just like the ones shown in the mod. Elysium refers to the conditions on those Orbitals as being great.
I love how well these mod devs use regular models aswell as modded in ones and mixing them together.
"Are you ready to spend-"
Did you not pay attention to all the megastructure factories you just built your way through?
If you're not running a few dyson spheres, several gigaforges, and a few other structures that have been created since this video went up four years ago...
The war moon is basically the Phalanx from 40k.
